Check out my new ashtray! Had 2 buddies over, and we needed somewhere to deposit our ash. I don't have a real ashtray yet, because I've been smoking outside all summer next to a patio fire-pit, so I just found the first thing that looked like it could be a makeshift ashtray for the evening and this fit the part quite well.

Anybody have any suggestions on a decent ashtray for 3-4 cigars? I like the CAO Cubist, but I don't feel like spending $200+ on a freaking ashtray... Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks,
Adam

The stinky ashtray is a good one, you cant go wrong with it. I love mine. Also if you really like the CAO cubist CI has them for $49, but I believe they are backordered till Oct. :tu

I buy mine from thrift stores, or just some cheapo plastic one. Screw it.

I third the opinion, go with a Stinky.

I would just wait till one of the on-line retailers offers an ashtray with some cigars. I mean the stinky ashtray is nice, but every other day there seems to be some deal that includes an ashtray. :2

I Believe that I saw an ad in the CI catalog for 49.99.

Looks a little top heavy:)

Years ago, I had an aluminum piston out of a O-540 Lycoming (airplane engine) that I bead blasted and used for an ashtry. I haven't seen it since I moved to WY 10 years ago. No connecting rod on mine, though:)

:tpd: I got a box of sticks and an ashtray for $10 more than most ashtrays. Went from no ashtray to two in one CI order. :ss

My monies on the Stinky ... $15-18 bucks or so & a great ashtray.

Also, there are places that offer ashtray specials from time to time for cigar-related / brand-imprinted ashtrays.

Got this in my email box today ... if you are lookin' for a box of Tatuajes ..

Mine's the middle one, and it wasn't more than 1.5" long when I was done with it. The other 2 guys couldn't handle the buzz, lol. My dad's Cuban, and I've never had an issue being too buzzed from a cigar. I was giving them a hard time about it too though. Looks like the cubist has gone down in price. When I first saw them (a while ago) they were something over $200 a piece. Thanks for all this info guys, I'm starting to like those stinkys...

My biggest problem with most traditional 'Cigar ashtrays' are the long groove that your stogie is supposed to rest in between puffs...

Example:

I shameless lifted this picture from some random website

My biggest complaint is that the moist area around the cap tends to pick up wandering ashes, fingerprints, other BOTL's spit, etc., as your 'gar gets shorter.

Now, enter the Stinky!!! Your precious stogie is not resting in some long grove, but is able to perch in one of the stirrups... With the Stinky, that nasty 'ash/fingerprint/spit' problem is mitigated, if not ELIMINATED :chk

I proudly lifted this picture from stinky's website!

And, hey, at around $20, it will hold a TON of nubs and ash, is easy to clean up, will support 4 (mini-herf) smokers at once!

I think I am finally sold on a stinky thanks to this thread. For like $5 more than a normal round ashtray it seems to deliver a lot more.

I'll bet you 10 to 1 you won't regret it.... Make that 100 to 1...

I'll PM you my address so that you can send me that $1 approximately 5 minutes after you use a stinky the first time :tu

Just kidding, but I'm that confident you'll love it!

I'm a huge Tatuaje fan, but I can't pull the trigger on one of their ashtrays because I KNOW I'll never use it.

I like this "grid" ashtray. I originally saw it at Nat Sherman in NY. I know I saw it at some other site for a little cheaper, but can't remember where.
