It was announced yesterday that junior will drive for pepsi and the national guard. Under pepsi his car will have the mountain dew and amped energy drink logo. Also his number will change from "8" to "88". I'm very excited to see junior go to hendrick because their a better team, and he will have access to equipment, and cars.

Wowa, I think NASCAR is the only sport--all the rest are technically just "games!":r

I'm trying my best to be happy for Jr. I know Hendrick will get him a championship, and Hendrick has done a lot for this sport, but he's also a crook. I'll still pull for Jr (damn Theresa and her hard headed ways--can't see how she didn't know that DEI was for Sr.'s kids), but it'll be a cold day in hell before I pull for any of the other Hendrick cars.

You have to remember that I live just out side of chicago, the home of the CUBS. A team who's only concern for success is "how much money did we make today?". A team that has never cared about the standings, or how the team finished, and this is comming from a cubs fan. On the other hand stock car racing boils down to one driver one car vs. the rest of the field. For the driver to get paid (other than the sponcership) he has to win. So if someone asks me if it's a sport, I say hell yah.

That is not the way the Nascar works today, at all. You can finish last everyweek and still be a muti-millionaire. That is why so many don't care if they win or not because they are still getting paid much like others in other sports today.
