Glad you enjoyed the tobac!
I know it was hard to try more pipe tobacco with all those rare cigars flying around. Sorry I couldn't stay around Saturday night.......that would have been a good opportunity to try more rare tobac.

Of course waking up to you staring at me telling me you have been watching me sleep for 2 hours is a little disconcerting. Did he do that to you too Dave?

wasn't meant to be funny though. i was serious. just figure it doesn't matter. if ppl want to sit here and banter about sh*t that doesn't belong in this topic (or part of the forum), then they're just gonna post-whore no matter where they post.
sucks that this part of clubstogie (pipe forum) seemed like the last bastion from post-whoring/banter/nonesense threads.... not anymore. :pu

ah well. i guess that's why most ppl don't post in the pipe forum anymore. :hn

edit: sorry to change the subject on your thread, bruce. and thanks for the samples you've provided me in the past as well (to be one of the few to stay on topic).

Fair enough, I haven't fallen to the pipe side yet, so this will be my last post in this Forum.

Sorry Bro. :)

which is why i deleted my original post.

there are topics already made someplace on this board for what they are discussing, i'm sure in the herf area somewhere.

there hasn't been much activity in the pipe forum for a short while now. there's been plenty of ppl fly by and make posts that have nothing to do with anything, like they normally do on every other part of the board...

if you ask most of the ppl who have put a lot of time in down here, making the pipe forum a place they prefer to hang out in rather than the rest of the board (because it's changed from what it use to be - but what the pipe forum still was like), they will agree with what i'm saying.

again, not a big deal, things change, people who use to post whore all over the place except the pipe forum are now coming in here...

we've even got newer members who feel the need to create a ton of new topics each day instead of reading what's already been posted - and it seems like it's just to make a topic, not that they actually need the info, cuz some of them are "banterish" type topics....

it's all in the way this entire board has evolved (unfortunately for those of us that prefer how it was a few years ago - and how the pipe forum WAS), and that's how it goes....

edit: no harm no foul...
excuse me if i take pride in what the pipe forum had become for a while, and am a little sad to see that it's heading on a path to mirror the "everything but.." forum if things keep on going the way they're going.

I actually will post again because this is on "pipe topic". My first two tries on pipe tobacco this weekend, both with the Momo. If I couid find that, I could definitely see myself smoking a bowl for "dessert" at all the herfs. Amazing stuff James. :tu

I actually was reading through this Forum last night, trying to figure out where and what type of pipe would be best for a complete newb.

Probably the best place to start, Tom, would be to get yourself a couple of cobs and some tobacco samples from your local tobacco shop if you have one near you. You'll probably want to get a few cobs for different blends...Aromatics, Virginias, English, etc.

I've tried the Momo and I agree that it is good but there are a whole bunch of other great tasting blends out there and the cobs are a cheap investment to start experimenting with the pipe.
