Alright, I got into the cigar hobby by asking dumb questions, and having very kind people help me out, so heres my question..

I'm pretty familiar with Brands and what not, but what confuses me is the specific names for cigars within that brand.

For Example.. I know what the difference between an OpusX and a Forbidden, but whats the difference between specific Opus's? All these different names, is it just based on size and ring gauge? Like I said, Im a newbie, but I know what I love to smoke..

Thanks Guys
Jeremy

Mostly size, shape and blend.

Each cigar that a company makes has its own name.
Within some cigar lines, most of the various sizes taste fairly similar.
But with many (maybe most?) brands, each cigar may taste quite different.

To see some of the specific Opus cigars for example, go here and mouse over the cigars:

I dont think it was a stupid question.

All of these companies come up with fancy names for different vitolas and make odd sizes with fancy names...Marketing makes things confusing sometimes...

ask away... or PM me anytime.

Welcome Jeromy. Q and A is a big part of Club stogie. Better to ask and know than to not and assume. Its much to do with size/shape and blend. Depends on the company. Good luck and enjoy!:chk

Welcome to the Jungle! And there is a lot to learn and smoke. The slope is long and steep, and at times confusing. This is a wonderful place to ask, read, and learn. Have fun. :ss
