Washington Redskins safety Sean Taylor is clinging to life following surgery on Monday for gunshot wounds to his leg suffered during what police are investigating as a possible armed robbery at his home, reports NFL Network's Adam Schefter.

According to ESPN.com, he passed away last night without ever regaining consciousness. While troubled early in his career it seemed lately he was turning everything around. Such a shame

So sad when I heard this. He's from my hometown, saw him play in HS at Gulliver Prep In Miami, followed his career at the U and for the Skins. I hope they catch the person responsible for this.
