So I get Finck Cigar Company's cigar catalog.. They are the one company lower than thompson on my list, selling LOTS of machine made cigars claiming they are Premium / Top Selling / High Quality cigars and saying the same thing about virtually ALL of their products, which in my experience is rather unsatisfactory....

Anyways, I was a bit stupified after reading about their Cuban Cigars (which seem to be Machine made but I cant seem to tell) that they are selling, 5 'Havana Blend ChurchHills Made with authentic pre-embargo Cuban Tobacco for $10!! ... Now, they claim they are carefully blended with central American fillers and Cuban filler giving the cigar a perfect balance f strength and taste, and that you are getting Cuban Tobacco, planted, grown, harvested and cured in Cuban. Not seed grown in Honduras or DR, a vintage 1959 crop.. etc. etc..

These come in 8 different sizes.. and it sounds to me, and looks based on the price , that they must put either the ashes of smoked cuban cigars or maybe about 100mg cuban tobacco per cigar... This seems to me like a VERY poor business practice, but hell , who knows maybe they are really selling legal cuban cigars whos tobacco has been aging since 1959 and comes straight from Cuba.

They are also offering Havana Slims Made with Cuban Tobacco.
"our Havana Slims are now the only cigars you can buy made with 100% real Cuban tobacco filler. (The following part strikes me as funny.) Order Now befre our supply runs ut and we have t go back in for more." 50 6.5x30 cigar(ello)s $50..

You can check this out for yourself at Finck Cigars or Rat Fink?? You be the judge. (http://www.finckcigarcompany.com/finck/find.asp?mscssid=LWADJC4337FG8HVJ4CKS247F1204655C)

I have never ordered from them so I know nothing more than I can read in your post or on their website... but it SCREAMS...BS!!!
They bought tobacco in the late 1950's and are just now getting around to using it????? Guess they were too busy or had acres and acres of warehouses filled with other tobacco to use the past 50 years for cigars before they got to the Cuban tobacco.... right... LOL!!!
This is even more far-fetched than the Gurhka Pre-Embargo Cubans. They at least acknowledge that they blend their supposed "authenticated" Cuban tobacco with Honduran and Dominican fillers.

Just my 2 cents worth....

I'm confident a two dollar cigar with Cuban tobacco from 1959 would have to have a miniscule amount of Cuban tobacco if it indeed had any at all. Who can prove it has more or less than a 1 x 5 mm thin strip?

This just really pisses me off that they are offering this product which is VERY likely highly misrepresented. I dont see how they can sale their machine made cigars for such high prices and then turn around and sale these $2 cubans?...

What about the Havana Slims whos binder is said to be 100% Pre-embargo Cuban Tobacco.. just doesn't make it just cent$..

After opening up this issue of Finck's catalog, I was greeting with something that striked me as idiotic.

"Last month we ran a special on some Lamb’s Club cigars that were inadvertently packed in bundles instead of boxes. (Their Deffinition of a premium is a cigar that comes in a crappy box rather than in a crappy bundle?..)One of our suppliers in Honduras saw our offer and thought it was a promotion dreamed up by his competitor. Not to be outdone, he offered a one time deal on our Finck’s Commerce Churchills, packed in bundles instead of boxes, at a price that was too good to pass up. "

I don't know what it is with this paragraph that seems so .. off.. to me, but somethings not right about it.. I was under the impression that Lambs Club was another one of their 'house' brands...

I've seen a couple of ads lately that boldly brag about pre- embargo cuban tobacco. Then when I read the ad desciption it will mention cuban seed .

That is pretty decieving.

For starters, anything Finck :pu

I'm amazed how much pre-embargo leaf is supposedly floating still. It's all just a bunch of :BS to me.
