I go pheasant and 6 day deer in NJ. A buddy and I are going to be looking into spring turkey and maybe waterfowl this coming year. Also talking about doing some bow. :cb

Dove, Duck, Goose, Deer, Coyote, Bear, Turkey. Favorite is Goose. Spend about 2-3 days (mornings) a week in the field whacking geese. Me and our 3 man goose crew have shot a total of 311 geese so far with only about 2 weeks left. Oh well, can't wait to shoot some coyotes, I'm not real experienced but there is just something thrilling about hunting the hunter, I hope to learn much more this year!

I just couldn't hunt Coyote. The whole dog thing. I couldn't bring myself to eat it. The rest I have no problem hunting. Never went dove hunting. I think this would be fun because I heard they are fast and hard to hit. Only problem is they are so small and all the work of cleaning them. Duck, Goose, & Turkey are on my todo list this coming year. As for Bear this is NJ. Everyone that doesn't have bear walking into thier backyard gets to tell you that we don't need a hunt because we don't have a bear problem.

Dove, Waterfowl, Squirrel, Rabbit, and I'm hoping I get to go deer hunting this year. Land access is a pain in the ass.

I love to hunt deer. I only got away for 4 days this year, so empty bag, but I did get to see a few.

No, you don't eat the coyote, just skin em and tan the hide. Never shot a bear either but its still fun being out in the woods. No luck getting a deer this year either.

Hunting only GA this year. Deer, dove, squirrel. Weekend before Thanksgiving I got a four point with my pistol. which is about the only way I hunt deer now.
Dove is a lot of fun - fast and lots of shooting most days. I like to squirrel hunt just to kill time. Not as much into it as I used to be, just the opportunity to get into the woods.

I love bow hunting deer. Here is a thread I started this year. There is a pic of the buck I shot this year on page 9. I know it is not a trophy, but pretty typical of the bucks I see hunting public land. I am heading out in a couple weeks to do some muzzleloading.:ss

Just use to eating everything I hunt down. Too bad uncle Bob didn't know that before we played man hunter.:D

The six day hunt starts this coming December 3rd. Go out into the woods freeze for the day and hope something walks by. Still better than working.

Was out this morning by myself with no dog pheasant hunting. Had one fly over but it was too high for a shot. Other than that heard some shooting but didn't walk into anything. Sucks not having the dog. Only have him on Saturdays.

Still better than working.

I finally get to go deer hunting tomorrow. Our rifle season opened Monday, but I had to work all week

I still have three vacation days left, I'm debating whether I want to take them after Christmas (muzzleloader season is open then) or next week.

Well my deer hunting was a bust this year. Just saw doa's. Went out a few times. Well it was still better than working. Looking into taking my bow education class this coming year. Anyone know anything about bows and what I should look for?

Haven't been out in a couple of years. I like to crawl into a tree stand and smoke a cigar in the early AM with some coffee. You can tell I'm a serious deer hunter. This lets the dogs sleep in so they're ready for the real fun - quail, dove, snipe. Got a buddy in Florida with a couple thousand acres in central Florida. He's got about 15 feeders year round and it seems that is the only way to keep any amount of wild quail on the property. They are sure having a lot of trouble and seem to be gone in most places in the south.

On the property He'll take any nuisance gators but I haven't been around for that.

Opening day of the second split was Saturday and it was one of my top-five hunts! We had a 6-man limit of geese, around 25 mallards, and 3 pintails. Bad weather = great hunting! Action was steady for over 4 hours.

All we hunt is private land. Too much hassle with public land hoping you are there first, etc.

Went out last Saturday for pheasent. Didn't see anything. Heard a few shots. The dog hurt it's leg so we didn't have him but I don't think it would have helped much. Those with dogs weren't putting anything up. Still had fun.:chk

Nope! We hunt the corn fields and marshes in the early season and then the rivers in the late season when the little bodies of water lock up.
