As a proud Alumnus of the United States Military Academy at West Point, I have to say this is embarrassing. We haven't beaten Navy since my Firstie year. It is absolute crap that our team made the types of mistakes that we made today. They'd better figure it out; I'm tired of the excuses. That being said, kudos to the Midshipmen. They played hard, but it really pissed me off when Paul Johnson decided to continue his post-game interview while Army's Alma Mater was playing. He's a good football coach, but that was a classless move. Each team and their coaches ought to be standing at Attention during the other Academy's Alma Mater. For those that don't feel like that was a big deal, you probably didn't go to one of the Academies, and you probably don't understand how truly insulting that was.

No didn't attend one of the Academy's but yes it was classless on both his and the interviewers part. The interviewer knows what is supposed to happen and should have left him alone instead of going for TV bytes.

Yeah, but that was typical on Johnson's part. I really am happy to see Navy playing well. I'll cheer for them every game except for that one in December! However, Johnson should know better than that. He should have said "hold on," and turned around. The interview would have been there in 20 seconds. He didn't even pause to think about it. His post Army-Navy interviews in the past have also been fairly caustic toward the Army side. That's not what this rivalry is about. It's not just a football game, you know? These kids ought to (and I think they do) respect the hell out of each other for the adventures that they are about to embark on. It's obvious to me that Paul Johnson doesn't get it. I hope Navy's next hire is as successful (not against Army of course!) as Johnson is, but I hope that he understands the Service Academies better than Johnson does.

I would agree, a little respect goes a long way. Too bad that he did not have more respect for tradition and for Army.
