Mini Review - Augusto Reyes Nativo Lancero (6 3/4 x 40)
Dominican puro
$7.75 at FullersPullers.com

I'm about to close the book on these Lancero/Panatela mini reviews and am closing with one fine smoke. I had never had anything before from Augusto Reyes so really did not know what to expect. What I found was a very good burning, good tasting cigar. It started on the mild side of medium and built in intensity as it burned, becoming a medium plus. It produced clouds of dense smoke that was smooth and creamy with a hint of some sweet spice. At about the half way point it became less creamy and more spicy.

I have been hearing Bob and Dale on the Dogwatch podcast say that a cigar will tell you when it is finished. A little past the 2/3 point this one told me but I didn't listen. It then started requiring relights and the flavor started showing signs of becoming a bit harsh so I put it down. If I had only listened.:)

All in all I thought this was a very good cigar worthy of a try by those who like medium bodied flavorful smokes. It would also be a good morning or afternoon cigar for the full bodied crowd.

emelbee put me on to this nice Lancero...thanks Mike!

I'm planning to do a recap of the trial. Hope to have it out this weekend.

:tpd:

Thanks for the reviews Frank, I know you really had to force yourself to wade through all those cigars. :r The sacrifices one makes for their fellow BOTL here on Club Stogie.

A bump/bump in Franks RG is in order here for providing a load of great reviews. :tu
