A couple comments rather than a full review.

I credit CAO Gold with turning me into a regular cigar smoker. I picked up a box of coronas over a year ago. I still have several in my humidor as my tastes have changed and I'm leaning towards more complexity and larger ring gauge. I noticed a lonely one with a slight wrapper tear and decided to fire it up. I was out back and today the normal breeze is noticeably absent.

These are still very good. It was mild and smooth the whole way. It drew perfectly for a corona and burned flawlessly with plenty of billowing smoke. That wrapper tear never expanded and the cigar burned right through it like it wasn't there. I almost let it go out while attending to something in the back lawn but was able to get it going again without needing a relight. It never picked up a bit of harshness (but didn't really develop any complexity either).

About halfway down I added a Whitecap Winter Ale, which went quite nicely with this mild, smooth smoke. Overall it was a very pleasant experience.

Watching the Chargers win in Kansas City may have helped contribute to my enjoyment.

Like you said these are very dependable smokes. They where one of my first go to smokes.

I can't resists adding a photo from one of my Gold sessions:D

Great picture. I've just set up a photobucket account and was able to post my first picture yesterday. Hopefully I can include pictures in the future (especially if I can take some as nice as the one you posted).
