I've never tried any of these cigars but would like to pick one of each up from the store.. when I looked at the selection however, there were so many to choose from I just split and decided to get some feedback and read some reviews on top25 first. I like the medium to medium/full smoke so could you guys recommend good "firsts" in these 3 lines? I'm willing to spend about $4-$6 per stick.. saw a Torano Exodus 1959 for $3.87 but didn't know anything about it.

Partagas Black and Cuesta Rey Centro Fino Sun Grown.

I'm in the same boat with you on Toranos. Ordering a bunch of samplers when I have room in the humidor.

Partagas Black are a real nice smoke. The Partagas Cifuentes blend Noviembre is nice, sometimes you can find them for around $6. Seems like many of the BOTLs here love the gold label Torano 1959s....my experience with them was that they were fair, but it all depends on your taste...happy shoppin'!

Ditto on the Toranos 1959's. Good smokes, no, GREAT smokes for the price. I keep a box of torpedos in reserve at all times. Another good Torano (I think), is the Signature perfecto. A very nice medium to full flavored smoke for the times when you don't have an hour to devote to a stogie. Torano's 'Casa' and '1959 Silver' are a pinch too mild for me, but as was mentioned , it is pretty much subjective. I have yet to be disappointed by any in the Torano lines that they offer. Some I just prefer over others.

Partagas black is a nice full smoke. The cuesta rey centro fino has just a beautiful sun grown wrapper, definetly worth a try. As for the Torano's, i'm not a huge fan to be honest, but I do like their 1916 cammies. Very tasty stick. Just my :2

I agree with the Cuesta Rey Centro Fina Sun Grown, very good cigar and the best in the Cuest Rey line, IMO.

In the Partagas Line, I haven't tried the black, but I like the Spanish Rosada line. That line has a great range of sizes and they are very tasty.

Hard for me to pick my favorite Torano. I like them all really. If I had to choose, I would probably pick the 1916. I like the churchill in that line. Nice camaroon wrapper on those.

A lot to choose from, good luck.

Cuesta Rey, Sungrown #9. Can't say enough good things.
Partagas I would have to go with the Sabroso, comes in the reddish tube (OK it's pink) Great stick.
Torano- I love the Exodus Silver.

I don't think you're going to be upset with any of these choices!!

I've smoked about all of the ones that have been mentioned here and all are great choices.

I think for $5-6 bucks you can get some nice sticks even at a B&M.

Torano: I like the Exodus Gold and Silver Torpedos and the 1916 Camaroons (I usually smoke the Churchills). All are very good smokes in the medium - medium full range. I think the signature are a bit milder but they still have a decent flavor and are well constructed.

Partagas: The Black maduros are about the only ones in this line that I think are worth getting (I dug the clasico size) good coffe flavor, fuller bodied; the only bad thing was that my wife really hated the smell.

Cuestay Ray: I haven't had a single one I've liked but I haven't tried the sungrown.

Torano: I like the Gold '59s torpedoes; the 1916 Cameroons Robusto and the 2003 Tribute Torpedoes (if you can find them). The suggestion on the Signature is a good one, too. I don't smoke as many of these, but each one I had delivered the goods. All are very tasty, and an icredible bargain in my book.

Partagas: I too am a fan of the Spanish Rosado. Very nutty and creamy smoke, and decidedly different from anything else I've tasted. Be sure to get this one is a really large ring guage, they seem to be a bit smoother to me.
I have only smoked about 3 or 4 of the Partagas Blacks, and while I did find it to be a great smoke, I still preferred the Rosado. Probably because the Spanish Rosado has such a distinctive flavor to it. The blacks seem to tast like many other cigars I've had, and really didn't stick out in my mind as anything noteworthy.

Cuestra Rey: I'll agree with the suggestion on the sun-grown. It's the only Cuestra Rey I've had!! (And it was better than I expected!!) :D
