I just won a box of Fonseca Sun Grown Cedar #4 petit belicoso from www.cigarauctioneer.com.
Anyone smoked this cigar?
I have been impressed with the Serie F & the Mit Zeder. I got them at 28% off the catalog price & am hopeful that I will be pleased.

I like these. They are a pretty good smoke. I find them to be nutty personaly.

I have smoked very few of theses. I was gifted two by Jack Schwarts the cigar importer and collector.I have smoked both and this is what I thought.
The Fonesca cigars have been around for a long time.I think these appeal to those looking for more of a mild tasting cigar. They have been around for almost 100 years and are still here and many brands are not. They are a very soft and mild tasting cigar with a rich but very mellow flavor. The cigar itself has a great burn with again a mellow finish. These cigars are great for an early morning smoke. They are very aromatic and smooth and would go great with a morning cup of coffee to compliment them.

It sounds as if you are describing the regular Fonseca line. I have seen the Sun Grown Cedar described as being any where from medium to medium full in body. As I am not fond of the regular Fonsecas, I might be a bit disappointed if I bought a cigar with a similar flavor profile to the regular Connecticut shade wrapped cigar. As I said before, the Serie F is an impressive cigar & cannot be described as mild by any stretch of the imagination. I am in the hopes that the Sun Grown Cedar is one of Manuel Quesada's better blends. I thought I might find the SG Cedar in the database, but only found the Cedars, which is the new name of the Mit Zeder.

They aren't like the regular fonsecas. I'd say medium bodied, whereas the regular line is extremely mild and boring. Good short smoke. I'd say it's my second fav next to the F's.
