Analog hygrometers aren't worth a crappe. You can find digital ones at Radio Shack, Home Depot or Lowes.
For example ...

Yep. Radio shack and home depot are good. Lowe's has them, even Sears I think.

This hygrometer works great and the price can't be beat.
If you want to spend a bit more and have a need for a remote unit, Radio Shack's is great for around $45.
