What's doin'? I've come to the lowlands looking for a site to build a nest and hide spot to store my stogies.

I'm from Hercules, CA (about 45 minutes NE of San Francisco) and work out at SFO. I'm also a member on the Cigar Aficionado forum and actually found out about this forum on there.

I am currently seasoning my first humidor and have a small number of cigars which I am more than glad to share if you're in the area.

Anyway, hello from a FNG.

Thank you for the welcomes! If my memory serves me correctly I've been seasoning my humi since this past Monday, so almost a week. The Boveda seasoning packet I purchased said to let it season for 10 days, which seems like an eternity right now.

Please excuse my messy desk.

As far as my humi goes, it is a Natuzzi Humidor. I don't have too much information on it, I tried visiting the Natuzzi website, but it's one of those fancy schmancy boutique furniture places.

It didn't come with the humi tube which I don't mind because I'll be using Boveda Humidipaks. It also didn't come with a Hygrometer so I have a digital one from cupojoes.com on order. I figure I'm better off that way anyhow.

It's tan, leather wrapped, "Made in Italy", and waiting to be filled! The two stogies in there are from a member on Cigar Aficianado [don't worry, it's in a ziplock with it's own 69% humidipak. :tu]

Oh yea, I almost forgot to mention that I found it on Craigslist for $100 bucks. Seemed like too good a deal to pass up, so I didn't.:ss

There's no picture of a cutter because I don't have one yet! I've been using a razor blade for all my cutting needs so far until I can afford a nice one. I'll post pics of my lighter later, it's nothing fancy but it's pretty badass. I'm still getting used to using the torch but I can bic a cigar pretty well, so that's what I've been doing as of late.

I'm most certain that I'll be around for a long while Doc. :D I think if CS were a physical location, I would never go home! And I will most certainly do my best to contribute to this fine community.

Welcome, Tam!

My wife is from Hercules. We still get down there regularly to visit family.

And jjefrey - We have family in Pinole as well.

I don't know if I will make to the Vacaville Herf, but I would enjoy meeting fellow gorillas some time.
