Tonight I made a deal with Danielle that if we got to see Rambo than we would go see a chick flick or romantic comedy (snore) of her choice. I was very excited to see Rambo and here are my thoughts on it.

When a group of missionaries from Colorado are taken captive while on a humanitarian mission, only one man can rescue them. John Rambo. This has the same classic feel and mood as the other Rambo flicks. John Rambo is still the outsider you know and love and every bit the same blood thirsty killer as the rest of the series. Sylvester Stallone must have been eating HGH for this movie because he got huge and ripped, he jumped right back into the boots of Rambo and did a good job as him. He was cold, heartless, and honorable. The gore and kill scenes in this were wonderfully done with a lot of blood, guts, and gore. Stallone really did a good job getting back into being Rambo.

I really hope this movie sets a new bar for action flicks, it’s an action flick EVERY man can appreciate.

On a side note, don’t take your kids. Taking your 2 and 8 yr olds to see Rambo basically makes you an irresponsible ****ing moron. We saw people with children who were likely the aforementioned age and Rambo isn’t the movie for that age group, so don’t be a dipshit. The MMPA sets age restrictions for a reason - those irresponsible cocks.

I also picked up the Rambo special edition trilogy for $14.97 at Rasputin’s BRAND NEW, that’s a deal. If you saw the movie, please post your comments below. I’d love to hear them. Anyway, that’s all for now. Go Rambo!

Glad to hear it was a good flick. I am looking forward to seeing it.
And I too agree with the whole movie thing and kods. Parents need to learn to be responsible.

Saw the movie Friday night, and it was probably the most fun I've had watching a movie in a long time. The action was great and it did have that old action movie feel to it. The only gripe I had was that Rambo didn't have his signature knife with him. I definitely recommend watching this movie.

Yeah he says he used HGH to get "in shape" for the movie. As a matter of fact I read an interview where he said he doesn't see why everyone over 40 shouldn't be using it. I think he took too many blow to his head making the Rocky movies.

just watched First Blood again with my son last sunday night, as there's not much "blood, gore" to it. only when the deputy falls out of the helicopter in the gorge.

i've watche every trailer i can for thsi movie, and it just doesn't seem close to the first one, where he was a total loner that barely talked. he was shy, reserved in the first one. the clips of this one, he was cocky and talkative, and his voice has changed a lot over the years...

this one looks too gory for my tastes. i do want to see it, but i doubt i'll plop down 7-10 buck to watch it.
i don't need to see a 50 cal machine gun explode some dudes head, cut off another dudes legs and arms... and turn another guy into confetti. i can't imagine taking my 7 yr old son to see something like that (you're right on that point, darrelL).

I liked the first Rambo, but the sequels, bleh. I do want to see this one though, but my gf won't go. So unless i'm willing to go alone or make a gay date with a buddy i'm not seeing it until it's on dvd

I did see it lost out to "Meet the Spartans" which gives me pause.

Saw this on Friday as well. It was AMAZING! It was everything I expected it to be and so much more. The story line was lacking, the dialogue wasn't that great, and lets be honest, the acting needed help, but the same could be said of any Rambo movie and that's not why we watch them. The action in this movie was great. The special effects were outstanding. If you liked any of the Rambo movies up to this point, you have got to see this movie.

Also, don't take your kids as Darrell stated. I saw at least three or four children under the age of 12 at the theatre when I saw this, and that's just ridiculous. This is a movie that many adults couldn't stomach, so don't be an idiot and take your kids to see it.

GREAT MOVIE!

Saw it Friday as well with the wife. both of us loved it! Am lot of ridiculous action and tons of killing. A fun movie.

It is not the first Rambo, but nor does it need to be if I want to watch the original I will pop that into the DVD at home. I do not understand why people are so hard on sequels in general.

LOL!!! Mine was a gay date with a buddy!!!

You really need to see this movie. It had everything the first Rambo was lacking but was missing everything the first Rambo had. If that makes sense.

Ahhhh I was hoping there would be a thread for this. All I can say is WOW!!! I saw it this past Friday and was in awe. No, it wasn't the greatest movie ever made, but man was it cool! The action was great, awesome special effects, and just overall an awesome movie. And yeah, there were several kids that had to be under 10 in the theater when I went as well...but without a doubt if you halfway liked any of the others, this is a must see...or if you just want to see some ridiculous action. Two bloody thumbs up :tu:tu

I've only seen First Blood and the original Rambo movie (FB part II). Loved the first Rambo movie back in the day; looking back I find I too prefer First Blood. I don't even have the other Rambo movies on DVD.

When I first heard there was going to be another Rambo movie I hoped it would be a prequel of some sort, that would fill in all the events that led John Rambo to that lonely backroad outside of Hope, Oregon.

That would be excellent Scott...but I think Stallone would need a lot more HGH to pull off being 40 again. ;)

"In other news, an unprecedented strike of CGI artists was declared today on the set of the Rambo prequel movie. Spokesmen for the union declared that the demands imposed upon them were impossible, and that they would have an easier time making Fidel Castro look like Britney Spears." :chk

Go and see Rambo. Run, don't walk, to your local cineplex.

This movie will rock your face.

Movies like this are why I stopped reading books.

I'd have to agree :tu. I was kind of worried at the beginning because it starts off slow.... but man oh man when Rambo starts going :gn he really starts going.... By the end of the movie, everyone in the audience was giving the movie a standing ovation and its been a while since a solid action flick like that came out. Long live Rambo!
