This could have been, should have been a review of a Graycliff Crystal Torpedo. I went for a little 25 mile scoot on the bike. It was 43*, blue skies and light traffic. Get to the bar, order up a Maker's Mark and proceed to light up. About 5 mins into the smoke the waitress brings out 2 heaping platters of seafood to the table next to me. Shrips, crab cakes, crab legs, ya get the point.

Here is where the smoke died. All I could smell was the seafood. Over powered everything. Damn inconsiderate diners ruining my ride and smoke. I kept after it, but as this cigar seemed mild (I guess) it really was hard to taste the cigar over the sea food.

So, the Graycliff Crystal Torpedo has an upfront taste and smell of crab cakes with a nice finish that reminded me of spicey shrimp.

I have to try another one later on. I'm sure the seafood was good, it just killed the cigar experience.

Thats sucks about the Greycliff. To be honest with you I have learned that me + a good cigar + seafood (always) = a bad time. Seafood has a tendency to want to come back up when smoking a cigar no matter how mild.

kind of reminds me of a post describing ISOMS as tasting like coca and shit... Sorry about your smoke, hopefully you smoked another that day to make up for it

Naw, I was going to hit a Gurkha Neapolese Warrior but deceided to wait until I found a bar with just smoke and beer in the air. Also, didn't think these 2 smokes in the day would mix too well. Might be wrong on that though.
