Well i received a VERY nice bomb from netprophet (please give him some RG!) including 5 great smokes i've been dying to try but haven't had the time to really get out to my local B&M to purchase them myself. One of the cigars i have been dying to try was ANY 5vegas cigar since i have read so much and heard so much about them. He generously sent two of them for me.

Today i went with my buddy and as always gave him a cigar of mine to try (forgot what kinda i wanna say a Raefeal something or other). He loved the cigar and said about half way through, this is my new go to cigar. That made me happy knowing he loved it. Anyways i sat down at a hookah bar (where you buy tobacco for a hookah and rent an actual hookah, it's also a cafe with food drinks ect ect). So obviously smoking is aloud. So he got a cup of coffee and a bite to eat. We sat down and we cut our cigars.

The pre-lite draw was fantastic not to much resistance but yet there was just a little which is what i love when it comes to a draw in a cigar. The flavor was mild but as soon as i lite the cigar it exploded with flavor. He had a real nice carmel/creamy taste with some nice undertones which my newb palate cannot identify yet. BUT they were a very nice touch to the creamy/carmel taste. It had a very even and consistant burn through the whole cigar which i love. I hate having to fight with a cigar and keep fixing it and struggling with it, this was the exact opposite.

The taste stayed pretty consistant through the whole cigar and i was very pleased with that since i loved it so much and the finish only got better. The finish never let go of that creamy taste which i love so much and i actually burnt my fingers a couple of times. It was then i decided it would be a good idea to let it go before i end up with bandages on my fingers and being made fun of at work the next day.

the smoke was quite pleasing as well, although it wasn't as thick as i would like it to be but for some reason i have trouble producing a thick smoke. My friends could smoke the same cigar, cig, what ever and will always produce thicker smoke. So i blame that on me and not the cigar. It did however produce quite a bit of smoke. I would take one puff and get a medium amount but not quite satisfying but by the time i took 2 or 3 puffs in a row the smoke would just billow around my face and the cigar. I actually had to move my head around a few times to keep the smoke from getting in my eye (i love to play with smoke if its making O-rings or just watching it billow out slowly and thick, i like to take my time with it... don't take that in the wrong way PLEASE!!!:r).

Overall this cigar has earned a place on my go-to list of cigars.
I would rate it a 8.75 out of 10 (10 being high of course).

Thanks again to netprophet for delivering a very wonderful smoke and a chance to share one with a buddy!!!

edit: sorry no pics this time, was smoking with a buddy didn't even think about it.

The 5 Vegas Gold Natural is one of my favorite smokes for a mild cigar! Great review! I still want to try the 5 Vegas A Maduro sometime!

Nice review - I like the A and Miami - not too crazy about the Classic but I'm going to let them sit and try them again in a few months.

Never a bad idea to let a cigar have some down time to rest up :tu

Thanks for the review. :tu

I found them to be a good driving around during work smoke.

I just won some A's tonight so I hope to try them in a few weeks.

You will love them Chas! They are by far my "go-to" inexpensive cigar since i can get them cheap on CBid. They smoke better than moset of the $5-$7 sticks that I have. LOVE 'EM!!!

when i first got in to gar a last year 5vegas were some of my favs. i am looking at picking up a box soon. cool review. the miami and limitada 06 are on my list of must try. the 05 was a darn good gar. i like all of them a lot. i useto smoke the crap out of the A but i had a bunch of problems with bad rolls so i gave up on them but when they were on they rock.

You HAVE to try the A's, the richness, depth, and sweetness you get from the A's is fairly unbeatable in my opinion. Just a great medium-full sweet rich maduro flavor without a whole lot of spice. I think the balance on these leans more toward the sweet side..... but thats def. why I like them so much. I think the costa rican maduro wrapper has a bunch to do with it. I tried an edge missile maduro today and found that it had a similar wrapper and really enjoyed it.

I have some coronas that are just over 1 yr old that are damn tasty.

The Gold is one of my go-to mild cigars. In fact, it is the cigar that I compare all other mild smokes to.

The Series A need a nap IMO. I don't touch them for at least 6 months.

I love the 5 Vegas Gold and Series A and I love the fact that I can get them at Cbid for cheap. These and Olivas are my go-to cigars.

Glad you enjoyed the 5Vegas Gold. It is my current favorite mild smoke, I think I will go enjoy one today actually. Let me know how you like the series A, I sent you one out of a 5er I got and still haven't tried one :cb

The 06 did not live up the 05, in my opinion. The 05 was one of a kind.

I picked up a $10 sampler a couple of weeks ago that had a 5 Vegas Gold in it, and after reading this I just might have to put it to good use this weekend...:D

My most memorable 5 Vegas Gold was a Double Corona. Smoked it in the parking lot of a drive-in movie theater, watching Oceans 13.

Man, you HAVE to try the A box pressed. I was already sold on the A series, and love the Apocolypse size... but wow, that box pressed is amazing. Also, harder to find.
