CS Late night crew

I'm a new poster here but I've been lurking for a while. One think I noticed is it's pretty slow here in the middle of the night.

I suffer from pretty consistent insomnia and wonder if there is a regular group of people that hang out here at night.

I usually get 1 or 2 hours of sleep a day but I'm on a 41 hour no sleep marathon and am bored stupid.

post here to talk about lack of sleep fun.

um thats pretty much the coolest thing I've ever heard of.

Here in Lancaster, PA I live a few blocks from the oldest cigar shop in the nation. It's cool to have a piece of history so near(with a lot of grandfathered cigar brands) but the problem of an old cigar shop is that it closes real early.

I've been meaning to take some photos in the shop, but I never get around to it.

I walk to work and most days(unless its cold as balls, like its been lately) I'll smoke a cigar as I walk. If I smoke it too fast I'll stop in the shop and grab one in the morning, so it's always nice to have a shop like that.

just 3 minutes ago I finished the book: "The Road" by Cormac McCarthy.

I was an english major in college and have read shit loads of books and I can't believe that this book is just now in my repertoire.

Really incredible book I can't recommend it more.

so it's 11:30 in the east. I just got back from the bar so I figure I'll bring this thread back to the top. I still haven't slept, I'm at 62 1/2 of no sleep now. I feel tired as shit but I still don't think sleep is coming tonight. One thing an insomniac will do is go on google type in as many variations of the word insomnia and read every link that they give you, I'm 35 or so hours past that now.

So I made a myspace page today, bought COD 4 for 360, and drank lots. At the bar I smoked a Cohiba Red Dot cigar and drank a few windsor and cokes.

I had piano lessons this morning and after that I went to lunch with a buddy and then played COD for most of the day.

The reason I write all this is to start some sort of conversation with you guys so that I don't just do nothing for the next whatever hours.

I think the best part about "The Road" is the fact that it's a story of a father and son who only have each other in some sort of post-apocalyptic world. It's why, when, and how is kept intentionally vague so that you are able to put yourself into the story. At the beginning of the story you are introduced to a father and a son who need to make it to the coast for some reason, that's the story.

You might need to get used to his writing style. He doesn't seem to like punctuation or give a crap about grammar, which is fine for me because I love Hunter Thompson.

Anyway if you like this book you should check out his others, I read "No Country For Old Men" 2 weeks ago because I loved the movie so much.

Hobbies: i have a huge cigar "problem" I read 2 or 3 books a week, golf in the summer, i play piano, COD4 for xbox, other evil things.

the topic of sleeping pills. I've taken them all and every one of them gives me a side effect. If i really need to sleep because i have something important the next day i'll pop a ambien or 3. They tend to make me depressed though and thats just something i can't put up with.

probably nothing to be honest with you I almost don't want anything to change as it comes to cigars...maybe a pull back on the us government fines and such for us who chose to get cigars from there. It's more of a "where were you when" moments in history....I wish I was still a poli sci major...this is a great time to be studying

Usually when I go to the bar I drink a little bit and hit on girls a little bit. Tonight I'm having a good time talking to new people and such, at about midnight the bar clears out a little bit leaving only a few people and no "young girls" However what is left is a 40 something lady who has no problems chatting with me about David Bowie, Kurt Vonnegut, Hunter Thompson, the election, and other things that I enjoy and she also legitimately enjoys.

Now, just to fill you in there are no hot 21 year old girls at the bar who has any knowledge of any of those things. However when a group of 3 smoking hot girls walked in I ditched the cougar and walked over to a redhead in a mini skirt and struck up conversation.

Any girls that wear a mini skirt in 20 degree temp is gettable to me, thats just my philosophy.

I forgot to mention an important thing, I was smoking a cigar and the older lady dug it and asked questions about it, and the young girl, who was smoking a cigarette, acted like she couldn't breath with that thing around.

Long story short I struck out with you ginger and left the bar alone to come to you guys.

far too many... except senior year of high school that ones a little blurry... i was a big trouble maker during middle school (i feel bad bout it all now what my parents must have went through and the teachers putting up with my reckless behavior) high school went better turned into more of a class clown then a prankster and trouble maker and played football. I think the worst thing we did in middle school was "GYM bashing" it was a riot... literally 2 classes in the gym with 15 basketballs and the teacher ended up locking herself in her office while we wreaked mayhem on the gym... 3.5k worth of damage. yikes! never got billed though!

I never did anything that bad...my Dad and his two sisters on the other hand...my GOD!!! My dad did not like his shop teacher (the guy was still teaching when I got to high school, and was a real ASS...made fun of my brother to his face for being dyslexic) so one day he decided to just start the shop class on fire and claim it was an accident...no punishment...10k later...I have many other stories, and because of them I behaved for the most part...
