Yes, you see correctly.

After much discussion between Sam Leccia, owner of Nub Cigars, and myself, we have decided to give things another shot.

At Club Stogie we often preach for members to get along in the spirit of BOTL's. Here is Sam and Club Stogie's chance to set an example.

It's true Club Stogie and Nub Cigars got off on the wrong foot, expectations could not be met, and it was decided that this was not...shall we say...a match made in heaven.

Through that we both have learned. CS has learned that there needs to be clarification in the initial user email that the "CS Admin" account is simply a "dummy" mailer account. I can see where it would be frustrating to send a lengthy PM to that user account only for it to be refused.

Sam I believe, and he can add clarification, has learned that we really are a community. Club Stogie is a user run community that can not respond to people with the zest that commercial businesses can. We do the best with what we have, and not to dislocate my shoulder patting myself on the back, I think we do a darn good job.

So in the "Spirit of the Cigar", welcome Sam Leccia to Club Stogie...Take 2.

Paul

For as critical as I was of Sam's initial decision, I am enthusiastically supportive when ANY manufacturer commits to being a part of this forum. It can only be to everyone's benefit to have this line of communication open & available. I hope the gorilla's here follow Paul's lead in extending their hand to Sam & Nub.

As someone who is new here, I jumped on Nub for there "perceived" expectations of CS with regard to their needs. As I have complete faith in the owners and administrators of this forum I fully retract my opinion and welcome Sam and Nub Cigars........

Now come on Sam

Thanks, Paul... for setting the example. As a community, you call upon us to show restraint, open-mindedness, and general goodwill whenever possible. Obviously, these are more than what you ask of us - they are words you live by yourself. Nice to see. :tu

Welcome back, Sam! Look forward to checking out your cigars... :ss

I'm glad you were able to get together and work this out.

I'm sure this community will soon find, Sam is a great BOTL and is very passionate about cigars.

I have had limited interaction with Sam, but have found him to be very sincere and open.

Welcome aboard Sam.

And :tu to you Paul. I realize you have tough decisions to make at times, but they are always in the best interest of the community.

Welcome Sam! Maybe we'll see you outside of the Nub Forum as well? There is a ton of knowledge, experience and opinions (of course) throughout CS, all of which helps me to put my experience into perspective.

Welcome Back Aboard Sam! I'm sure time is at a premium when trying to bring a brand to market and it can be frustrating to spend time writing something only to see it go poof. This is a great community that can provide valuable end user input.

I didn't know he was here and then gone again, but having had a couple nubs, I can tell you that CS will benefit from having Sam and Nub cigars on board.
