Received 10 lbs today; roasted a batch to FC and will work backwards from there. Lovely beans, generous chaff but very few culled beans.
Cupping notes from the co-op here (http://greencoffee.coop/index.php?option=com_simpleboard&Itemid=40&func=view&id=34068&catid=8) I'm looking forward to tasting this coffee in 48 hours or so. highlights for those who are not registered there:
This coffee is rich in spades - highly aromatic, caramel galore in the flavors, a stone fruit high end with mocha/chocolate and hints of cedar, giving it a most attractive flavor profile. It's medium-bodied with a medium-long finish. Besides making a fine brewed cup, it became a semi-sweet chocolate-mocha drink as an cappuccino.
It's an easy, even roaster with an obvious first crack at 400 deg F and can be roasted to full city without losing its varietal character.
