I went to a Fuente cigar tasting last nite that featured Montesino robustos and Pyramids.
Robusto
Nice light tan, natural wrapper, with a nicely finished cap. The robusto was firm to the touch and packed with tobacco. The cut was clean and the light was normal. 8.0
The aroma wasn't very noticeable, but in a cigar shop with 50 or 60 people, you can't smell much of anything. LOL Typical Fuente good construction. The draw was good and the burn was pretty even. 7.0
The taste was almost earthy and complex. Definitely DR tobacco. In other words, there were hints of some taste I'd like, but just not enough. Very smooth, light on the taste, but consistent. More taste than a Macanudo, but much less than I've experienced from other cigars in the line such as the Diplomatico(corona) and #2(lonsdale). 6.0
I've had the robusto in the past with the same result. I can't quite figure out why there is less taste than in the smaller ring guage Montesinos. Overall 6.5 mostly due to the lack of flavor.
