LAST EDITED ON Mar-26-01 AT 04:06 PM (CST)[p]the little havana blend-especial#1 is about 6inches by 40 guage.i got these from cigarsinternational website in december , odd website...it isnt very "international"user friendly, but i did finally get them after about 3 weeks.they went out of production sometime in 1998 so they are about 3 years old.naked bundles...no rings.wrappers are fragile as is common with well aged smokes.now to the review...

overall appearance & quality and construction...nice dark wrapper with no flaws(i have had some with damage to the wrappers , cracks and pieces missing etc. but they smoke great just the same).tightly packed and a bit of a tough draw(have found that if you take them out of your box for about half a day they smoke much better).cap was smooth , no viens to speak of .overall...8.5

aroma...yummy!what can i say , you all know what a well aged cigar smells like prelight...9.9

flavor and aftertaste...for a nonhabanos the flavor is exceptional , spicy but mellow(once again a characteristic of a well aged smoke.hard to describe but definitly cedar and citrus no young cigar sweetness at all.medium finish very pleasant.aftertaste was just a good tobbacco taste , gone about an hour later.a little stronger than medium strength...9.5

burn and ash...no problems , nice even burn.lasted about 1hr 20min . only ashed it 3 times so it was nice and solid...9.0

overall smoking experience...love these smokes , recommended...9.0

final grade...9.2

if you are intereasted try www.cigarsinternational.com (cheap like borscht)

I have smoked a few La Luna's and been very impressed (with the exception of the Maduro Fuerte line). Would definately consider buying a box if I had money or room in the tupperdor.
