Saw an ad today in RDTA magazine about a company called REON in San Diego, CA. Checked out their website and they sell pre-embargo and vintage "clear" havanas. Anyone know anything about this outfit? Are they legit? www.reon.com
Don't know nothing about that outfit!,, however, took a quick look at their stock, interesting stuff for collectors,, personally - for smoking purposes - I'd stay away from very old cigars such as pre embargos unless they were kept in controlled conditions fron the get go, (pro larranaga lonsdales smoke well for example) as well as you know the rest of the drill,,
I also noticed some of their boxes/cigars with signs of improper storage sometime in their past - water damage, beetle holes etc. - I would also stay away from those!
Furthermore, they seem to have many part box/cabinets,, I would also stay away from those (as you already know the part cab. vintage cigars loose their value astronomically compared to intact boxes),, just my .02,,
