I went to Radio Shack and bought a pocket soldering torch, still runs on butane and produces enough flame to light any stogie. Not very good in the wind, and I did burn a hole in one of my favorite liesure suits. Cost about 20 bucks.:+

What about cedar sticks? How come that's not part of the choices? x(

I've always used a torch of some type because I like to toast my cigar real well. Never could figure out how to do that with a match unless you used a few. I am not in to ----ing around with this.
The cedar stick issue is something I have heard of, but not tried.
When lighting a cigar ( Robusto size ) , it normally takes me about 45 seconds to a minute.
Does the cedar burn pretty slow ?

Thin cedar strips burn rather quickly...so you have to just stick the flame near or under the foot and puff away. It's basically the same as using matches, minus the sulfur on matches that you have to let burn off.
