Welcome to the jungle.

Mild and natural? How mild? Most of us don't care much for Macanudo, but they're definitely mild. If you're just starting out with cigars, they might be OK, but I would expect you to outgrow them quickly. Sancho Panza are reasonably mild, but certainly have more flavor than the Macanudo. But then, so does a soda straw. ;)

Welcome aboard, dude.

If you're looking for a good mild-medium Dominican cigar, anything in Davidoff's 1000 Series is fantastic. Might be a little pricey to start out with, though. If that's the case, you may want to look at their Avo of Griffin lines. Enjoy!

Welcome to the Jungle. rns

My favorite mild smoke is the RomeoYJuliet Vintage, (Dominican) #3 or #5. Pricey though, usually about $115 to $140 a box. All of the above are good too. Lots of them mild cigars out there.

Greetings and welcome!!

Hey, drc, don't knock mac's! :D
It took me about 3 years to graduate from Macanudo's to a more full-bodied seegar. In fact, I was so wimpy It took two years to wean me off the caviars!

Now, thanks to what I've learned from you all, my wallet and my humi groan every time I walk into the lair of a tobacconist!

As someone just coming off the milder stuff (only a couple years into the "big sticks"), my next step was a fuente (I think it was the signature)- natural wrapper of course.
It took a little while to get used to (about half a cigar) but after that I could never go back to mac's. It only got better from there - I'm just waiting to get into those '26s I'm saving...

BTW, tried a mac the other day and yea, it was like sucking on a straw -it's like the virginia slims poster - you've come a long way, baby. Thanks, guys!!! Joey, stick around these guys, they'll teach you a boatload about all kinds of sticks!!

Mild and natural.... I'm straining to remember what I liked...

Back when I started the first real cigar I had was a La Fontana. It was pretty darn good. I don't know what they're like today though.

A cheap alternative to Davidoffs (I remember really enjoying these but I could never gather enough dough up to buy many) may be Private Stock or the Hendrik Kelner/Special Blend bundles. (mild to mild--medium roughly)

I'll second rns' suggestion of RyJ vintage.

Also consider the regular line of Arturo Fuente. The Cameroon wrapper my take some getting used to though. (mild--medium)

The Honduran Embassy bundles are a nice bridge to medium strength smokes. These are very easy going. (mild--medium)

Havana Sunrise are similar. (medium)

Maybe HATSA's Sancho Panza line (as drc suggests). Punch Gran Cru, too. (medium) HATSA's torpedos are among their best, IMO(Sancho Dulcinea, Gran Cru No. 2, ERDM flor de Llanezas natural).

Padron Anneversarios or Puros Indios/Cuba Aliados probably wouldn't be too bad if you like the last several suggestions. If you've reached that point, you're probably done for anyway;) ...

Oh, BTW, Welcome!
