Hot Bitter Cigars

Recently, I've smoked some cigars that have been relatively bitter and harsh near the end of the smoke. I properly humidify them, and I'm not sure why this happens. The stogie smokes fine until about midway down and then starts to get this very hot bitter, burning kind of smell. Any advice?

Yes, you might try purging the cigar by blowing gently into it. That might clear it up. Try searching the board for the discussion we had a few months ago. :D Welcome aboard
