A true story with just a touch of hollywood BS about a rider for the pony express/army messenger. Without trying to give too much info it is a horse race ala the desert. 3000 miles and he is the only non moslem to ever be entered and with a mustang at that. Of course he wins but there are bad guys and gals that don't want the infidel to win. not a bad movie, sorta like all the other long distance horse races. some good adventure no real love scenes or mega violence. a good straightforward biography. think i would wait for it to come out on dvd.

I know this is an old post, but I just watched this for this first time last night and I absolutely loved it. Kinda obvious that hollywood made 3/4 of the story, but it was very touching, a friendship type movie of man and animal.

Not a bad movie. But it is all made up. The true story part was based on story debunked years back. But it is a ok film. Entertaining at Least.
