Anyone seen this? It's an independent film directed by Darren Aronofsky (Pi). It takes a look at illegal drugs and addiction, and it's very difficult to watch, but if you like gritty indie films it will be one of the best you've ever seen. Any thoughts?

I had a very hard time watching this film, but it is very well made.
Definetly not a feel-good movie LOL

Yeah you definitely have to be in the mood to see some truly shocking material to watch this. It's the kind of movie where you cover your eyes, but you peek through your fingers because you simply cannot look away. And that's a very rare thing with me.
I thought it was fair entertainment, nice soundtrack too. I forget, who plays the lead female? Jennifer Connelly?
You think that one was hard to watch you shouldn't see Irreversible.

Yeah Jennifer Connelly. I think she's really gorgeous. :D
The soundtrack definitely was outstanding. I'm a film scoring major so I pay special attention to that
I'll have to rent Irreversible then.

Friend went and saw Irreversible & told me the same thing, that its another hard one to watch.
Requiem for a Dream was hard for me to watch with my past history. It will stir up memories for anyone that ever had a substance abuse problem (even after almost 15 years clean) of how fast & devistating the spiral downward can be.

One of my all-time favorites ... highly recommended. Like others have mentioned, this is a tough movie to watch and is not for the squeamish. Sometimes, I think it should be required viewing in high-schools ... sort of scares you straight.
