Got a sample of this from Root. It is a Va/Per/Burley blend. It is in flake form with mostly dark tobacco from the perique and burley with some bright virginia. I rubbed it out and after a few chars I was in heaven.
This is a hearty smoke with the perique in the lead. Not so much as to kill a newer smoker to Vaper's but that pepper was in such a great preportion man it was good. About halfway through the bowl the perique started to mellow and i got some of the sweetness from the virginia. The burley was not in abundance with this blend which I appreciated. I did get some tongue bite due to enthusiastic puffing and I packed it just a hair to snugly.
A well balanced blend that I plan on getting several tins of and maybe trying to cellar. As a matter of fact this may be the best non american blend I have ever smoked. Highly recommended. Thanks again Root.
