Bayou Dog from Jacks Tobacco

Yesterday I ordered 8oz of "Bayou Dog" from Jacks Tobacco. I will post a review when it arrives..

Jacks Tobacco...Bayou Dog


Perique, matured Virginia, exotic Turkish, and dark, fragrant Cyprian Latakia tobaccos.

To start this is a blend that is a cross between a Balkan and an English..

When you first smell the tobacco you are greeted with the fine smell of smokey Latakia. You better like Latakia or I wouldn't even try this blend.

I for one love Balkans, English and a great VA...So this blend is right down my alley.

After packing the bowl I gave it a light and took a couple of draws. I was met with the taste of Perque. I sat back and started puffing away. I do this to see if there is any tongue bite..and there was none. This is a very smooth blend. The tobacco's used must be old because the flavors were mellow. As I smoked this bowl I could taste the Latakia....but I could also taste the VA. The Virginia used must have been a great leaf beacuse the taste reminded me of MC Christmas Cheer..

While smoking I try to write down my thoughts. I keep a tobacco journal. I do this so that I know what I like...

I wrote that the tobacco is spicy but not so much to be overpowering. I could fee the Perque in my throat but not enough to be to strong. I could feel the nicotine...but I guess that might be from the VA...

I think this will be one I buy in bulk. I will love to jar this one up and see what happens in a couple of years..
