I just got my Uncle Beanz coffee thanks to Mr. Mailman. I had been preparing for the arrival, so I immediatly opened the bag and made a pot. Now, I am not even close to a coffee expert, but I know if coffee tastes good to me, I like it, and vice versa...so, now that's cleared up.
The aroma of the all purpose ground coffee was very pungent, but not in a bad way. This was my first impression. After she was brewed in the traditional electric coffee pot, the aroma that filled the kitchen reminded me of home. The coffee was very dark in the pot, so I knew it would make the hair on my chest stand on end. Now, I know to get the true taste of the coffee, you should drink it black...but I can't do that, thusly I put a little creme and a little Splenda. On to the first sip:
The first sip was a mixture of emotion. Not exactly sure what all the flavors are yet, but the coffee did hit me with a rush of caffeine, but this brew was very smooth indeed!
I am now almost to the end of my cup. This turned out to be a very enjoyable experience and look forward to many cups in the future! Thanks Uncle Beanz!

Note: This review may sound all over the place, but I've been typing school papers all morning...please 4 Give.

thanks for the review...

I was trying to get in on the Uncle Beanz coffee deals... but whenever I look at the name, my dyslexia makes me see "Unclean Beanz"... and I get this unreasonable feeling that they are, in fact, unclean...

I can't say for sure why I keep reading it that way, but I do... I think it may have to do with how I read something the first time I encounter it... kinda like how I keep reading "Vegas Robaina" as "Reba's Vagina"... I am often very excited when I see those cigars...

sorry... time to make some more.

edit/update: even after trying to get myself to correct my misreading, I still thought to myself that you should try to clean up your screen as quicly as possible, because those beanz are uncleanz!

thanks... that was a compliment right?
(can't be certain, I've been told to "get outta here" in so may ways)

BTW, thanks for the awesome introduction to your coffees... if they continue to get such a good reception, I think you will have a runaway success to deal with... watchout Starbucks!

Thanks for the review! Enjoyed reading it.

One comment, however. For just a very few Calories, you could ditch the splenda for real sugar. Probably only add 15 or so Calories to your cup. I'm absolutely sold on using Hawaiian Sugar:
Maui Brand (http://www.mauibrand.com/) or
Sugar in the Raw (http://www.sugarintheraw.com/)

I'm certain I can taste the difference in coffee - much rounder and less sharp.

For all y'all 'spressoheads, Negrita pulls a great shot too!

This is what I posted on another site, a semi-mini-review:
I've pulled two double shots of Negrita so far. I haven't found the butterscotch or molasses yet, I find it to be a straight forward dark chocolate bomb (you know those good chocolate bars, 70-85% cocoa? This is it!).

I'll try pulling slightly higher and lower to see what else shines through.

This is smooth. If you close your eyes - you'd almost think you were drinking a melted cup of Lindt 70% cocoa chocolate. Mouthfeel and everything. . .

uncle beanz negrita is more nutty than a psych ward!! Starbucks is nothing compared to the coffee I get from Uncle because it is freshly roasted. I even got my wife hooked on it!!

I expect it to be so...

in terms of the Starbucks reference...I was refering to sales not quality. I know that some people prefer the taste of Starbucks... but I am not one of them... I'm all for dragging people into the light of freshly roasted coffee. :D
