History
I bought these about a year ago $ 54.95 CI for a box of 25. Smoked about 10 and found them to be nothing special and a little green. OK but one of those gonna drive somewhere don’t want to get too distracted by the cigar sticks. Decided to smoke one today as it appeared no reviews had been done on these.

Pre-Light Thoughts
This is a Honduran made stick (Plasencia for Rocky Patel), 6x 54 Toro Dominican and Honduran filer with a Honduran sun grown wrapper. A year ago these smelled a little fresh now they have a more chocolate / barn type smell. Nipped and toasted it and off to the post office we went.

First Third
First few puffs were uneventful. It settled into a pale woody earthy flavor and stayed that way. This was better than I remembered them but still not great. Had to correct with flame the burn about an inch into it. Wasn’t getting much nicotine which I found strange for a cigar this size. Put it on a parking lot post to get the mail. Was gone for a while and when I got back it was gone. Got in the truck, Sam apparently had picked it up after it blew onto the ground and put it in the ashtray. Got a little dirty but I’m not proud and it was still lit. Flavor was still woody with what I’m gonna call medium grade tobacco kind of flavor not bad but not very complex.

Second Third
Had a registered letter at the other post office so off we go. Cigar is pumpin out the smoke getting a little sharp here and there. Exhaling through the nose nips a bit. Corrected with a couple little dabs and got some of the dirt from the ground as a reward. Went into the other post office and left the Puck on the window ledge. Turns out 2 registered letters both from the IRS. (We don’t like each other) Got audited this year and this is the final disposition. Needless to say upon recommencement with the smoke I was not in a real good mood. Still not getting much of a buzz not sure why. The flavor got a little more interesting here undertones of black currant / and fruity. Time for lunch so we drove to KFC. Left the stick on the windshield during lunch. Got the 3 piece combo and subbed a white breast in for the leg mmm.. every once in a while KFC is Da Bomb.

Last Third
Relit after lunch and headed back for the office. After a few settling in puffs cigar got right back on the woody flavor with less earth tones. I swear this might have some short filler in it based upon the look of the end. Still not much happening in the nicotine dept. Which is why I smoke in the first place. Got hot about with about an inch left and I pitched it in the bushes at the office.

Conclusion
Much better than when they were fresh. Still not a real good cigar. How about 6 out of 10. However, this baby was only $ 2.25 for the price they were not bad if only they had the buzz.

Nice review there Da Klugs! My thoughts on the sticks are very similar to yours. If you want the buzz out of these DK you would need to smoke em younger as Nicotine level drops with age. Medium nicotine level IMO, the one you reviewed sounds a bit lower than the ones I have had.

I thought the sticks were really untamed to harsh when I got 15 (3 five packs) of the Puck #1's from CI in June (.94 cents a stick). I sat on them until November and fired one up; what a transformation! The rough edges had smoothed out and the blend was really shaping up. I sent some to a bud that I have a Sun Grown bombing war going on with (you wouldn't believe how many different Sun Growns we found for this); he liked -em enough to pick up a box for himself the next day.

These cigars were originally made by Indian Tabac for Mom's cigars; it is their house cigar and they were the only distributor for a long while. I suspect they bought more than they could move since CI is selling them as well now. Here is a link to them @ Mom's; (http://momscigars.com/puckbyindiantabac.html#housecigar) and a pic:

If you can get these for buck fifty a pop or so or less, and have space in your humidor to let them age for 6 months to a year; this is one of the mystery cigars at CigarBid I would recommend.

Great Review -- Well done - easy to read and it almost make you feel like your smoking it with you -- Unfortunately in this case.

Have never had many sticks from Indian Tabac that I have gone back for, and the puck was no exception.

Really liked the review Klugger. Think I'll stay away from this brand. Havn't heard too many positive things.
