Finally heading home, can't describe how relieved we both feel right now.........I know Jennifer is ready to get home and try to get some rest and try to recooperate. She's getting a big T-bone or NY strip for dinner.
What a difference a day will do.
She's feeling alot better today. Her 'crit bumped up to 24 after the 2 units of blood last night. Doctor already made rounds and said she looks better. No more blood for now, just some RX Iron and lots of red meat (whick suits me :D) and plenty of rest...
Thanks everyone for the thoughts and prayers.
2nd unit of blood is going in. She looks ALOT better than earlier today. She had some beef broth last hour and so far so good.
Hopefully her 'crit will be a little higher.
Also, I would please urge everyone here, if possible donate blood. It...
We're here for the night, if not longer.
Jen's hematocrit was 17.4 and 18.0 This is way down from 31 this morning. She's got 2 units ordered for over the next 4 hours.
Gonna try and go grab a quick bite to eat before she starts the transfusion.
* UPDATE *
She's ok. Talked to the doctor a few minutes ago. Surgery went well, he said it was a deep bleed. He estimated she lost around 3-4 units of blood overall. I have a feeling we're gonna spend the night and possibly get a transfusion, we'll know for sure this afternoon.
Everyone please keep Jen in your thought and prayers again today.
She has/had been doing fine after her hysterectomy. Went back to work yesterday, doing odds and ends around the house.....even went swimming yesterday.
She called me this morning telling me she was in the health office at...
*UPDATE*
Finally home, everything is well. Jen's resting as I type....gotta go get her RX's filled and lunch ready for when she wakes up.
Thanks again to everybody for the thoughts and prayers.
Would everyone please keep Jennifer and the rest of us in mind. She is having surgery today (well...right now). We should be here for just a 23 hr. Observation and heading home tommorow. Nothing emergent or questionable, just a routine female thing.
