Can't find any reviews about the Fine Catch or Big League cigars from Holt's. I'm going to place an order but want to pick up one or both a these cheaper smokes as well if they're any good. Anyone had 'em or other cheap smokes from Holt's?

I smoked the swisher and black and mild stuff when i was in high school, then had my first real cigar on a family cruise vacation and the rest is history. Noone introduced me and noone in my family smokes cigars.

never experienced this with fdo's but i've only had the naturals. I would def say the store you got it from kept it at too high humidity. these cigars are usually pretty good for the price.

teeth are way duller than a cigar cutter. i used to bite the end off but i always cringed at the thought that the wrapper would come unraveled. I like using cutters just so i know everything will be cut even.

thanks i checked out the txmatt thread and its lookin like I'll go with the Boardwalk or Fine Catch. I ordered the Fumadores not too long ago and am real happy with them.

Thats a diff cigar. I'm talking about the fumadores from Holt's, not the blue label fundadore, which I've never had before.

I got a single from a local shop and really enjoyed it so I bought a box right after from Holt's. Can't believe the price and that it was a sandwich cigar. I liked this one just as much as some of his higher end cigars. Haven't heard much about 'em in here, anyone else try these?

But Royal Barbados don't claim to use Cuban seeds. It says nothing on the box but the brand and a number and nothing on the main website. And the only thing I've read on the internet was cuban filler. Meaning cuban tobacco.

But aparently Caribbean tobacco is. Either the manager was blatantly lying or someone on this forum is wrong. But whatever, bottom line, Royal Barbados smokes are great and I'll keep buying them whenever available.

I've read these are made in Barbados, but use Cuban tobacco. I know I had one while on a cruise in the Caribbean but it was so long ago I forget how good it was. Not sure if they are available in the US. Has anyone else had these or know anything about them? thanks

I ordered a puckifier for my new desktop humi. Untill it comes in do ya think the two water pillows I threw in there will hold me over. I've already seasoned it and put a box a cigars in. The hygro read 65 after a day with the two water pillows so I'm assuming they will be good.

Yea but for a small humi and if you microwave the water a little before putting it in the wood should absorb enough without wiping it on there directly. The glasstop I have gets filled with condensation and thats more water than wiping it directly on i'd say.
