    Ashton VSG Corona Gorda

Great review with excellent pics - but I haven't had the same experiences with the VSG's. The few I have had were good, but did not warrant the price uplift at the time. Lets face it, $9.00+ for a cigar (plus tax) should provide a knockout experience. I did enjoy the VSG, but I felt I could...

    Good creamy sweet cigars?

Arturo Fuente Flor Fina 8-5-8 Maduro... One of the sweeter cigars you will find that retains a lot of quality and flavor. It isnt too mild - more of a mild-medium. I always keep a box of these around.

    How well-known/respected is Sosa?

They sure as heck are respected amongst the Downtown Disney visitors, and I grab several Sosas when I am there. I enjoy them in the Sosa bar. I have never had a bad Sosa, and I do look forward to having them when they are available. Sosa Cigars is the only place that I have seen the full...

    Flor Fina 858 Candela

I reviewed these almost 1.5 years ago - at the time, I had about 5 in the humi and have since smoked them all. I suppose my tastes have gravitated to stronger smokes of late, so I havent had any urge to go and buy more. Ironically, all of the ones I had smoked were after lunch when there...

    Hemingway Signature Maduro

Give these some time, I have found that they get much better over a years rest - more of the Fuente twang comes out of hiding. Frankly, I havent had any last longer as they have not been purchased in that large of a quantity!

    Arturo Fuente Anejo Shark 77

These are really good, but I would not pair them with strong coffee or hard liquor - they just dont have the "punch" of the OpusX, and the flavors can get lost when the pallet is assaulted with stronger compounds. I have about 5 of the 77s and two of the Cameroon 77s left. One will meet a...

    Cabaiguan Guapos

Agreed - I tried two of the Guapos, and while they were good, they werent $11.00 + godawful tax good. I was really hoping that the Guapos would exceed my expectations given my like for the Tatuajes, but they didnt. Some of the Tatuajes have a better bang-for-the-buck ratio in the Nicaraguan...

    AF 8-5-8 Maduro

The taste you couldnt describe was the "Fuente Twang". The 858 maddies have this in abundance, but it does carry over to the Hemis and DCs. I love the 8-5-8 maddie, I always have a box on hand, and they are one of the few NC maddies that get better over time. Taste and burn have always been...

    Which stick got you started?

My first cigar that got me puffing was a Macanudo Hampton Court at age 14. The cigar that first rocked my world was a Davidoff in a cedar tube (maybe a #2) at age 17. The experience was sublime, and I havent looked back since!

    PG: Paul Garmirian

PGs are definitely unique, I have a couple of them in the humi and tend to prefer the Gourmet line. The flavor and aroma are interesting - some say they smell like "herbal stuff" or burning leaves. Everyone should at least try one if they can get their hands on them. They arent a box-purchase...

    Acid Kuba Kuba

I know a few guys who smoke these religiously. I gave one of them a Tatuaje and took his Kuba Kuba. He was pissed off until he fired it up and took that first puff. I dont think he has ever looked back. I smoked the Kuba later on - it wasnt bad, but flavored smokes arent my preferred choice...

    Opus X Perfecxion No 2

Agreed on putting them away for a while. It seems that a year or more reduces some of the spicy sting and adds some sweetness. I have a few of these stashed away for 1.5years so far, once the boat is in the water Ill be breaking a couple out! Thanks for the review - even now these same...

    Opus X - Belicoso XXX???

Thanks for the review! These can often be found cheaper than 17.00. They also get much, much better with age. I give the FFOX cigars at least a year of relaxation prior to burning. Its a night-and-day difference, guaranteed!

    My First Davidoff Review!

Im a big Davidoff fan - I have a humidor of only Davidoff products. The LE2007 is my current fave, but the RR will never do ya wrong! Thanks for the review!

    Punch Rare Corojo Rothchild

Thanks for the review, I am down to one of these, and I have enjoyed every one. The size on these is just right, and the Rare Corojos deliver a good flavor blast. The Rare Corojos, while a little bit expensive, are a good "go-to" NC smoke that will always deliver in a pinch.

    First Cigar Of 2008

Im not sure what I will be puffing on tomorrow night, but whatever it is, the experience will be absolutely sublime! :) :ss

    Ashton VSG Enchantment - 4.375 x 60

I have had really bad luck with the Enchantments - so bad that I dont buy them anymore. I have had one start unraveling, and two others that just didnt hit the mark that a 10.00-12.00 stick should. I have always found the FFOX to be a better buy for the money.

    I need an air purifier!

Consumer Reports just tested a whole boatload of air purifiers, and the following were the best at removing smoke: http://www.whirlpool.com/catalog/product.jsp?src=AIR+PURIFIERS&cat=139&prod=682 http://www.whirlpool.com/catalog/product.jsp?src=AIR+PURIFIERS&cat=139&prod=648 They dont generate...
