I had one a while ago - it was OK. Nothing special, and definitely not super strong.

    5 Vegas Shorty

I've had a few of these and enjoyed them. They make a good smoke in the winter when you want something fast. I did not find the nose harsh, I was actually very pleasantly surprised. For small NCs, I like the Petit Tatuaje better, but these were nice.

    Cigar side effect?

I've made yogurt using starter cultures from several brands that I bought at the grocery store. Bacteria grow like crazy when provided the right environment; millions per gram is plenty. I have no idea how much bacteria you need to successfully seed your gut... fresh homemade yogurt is...

Anejos -- What's with the gouging?

When they are in stock, you can order limited amounts of Anejos (and other rare Fuentes) at MSRP from Tampa Sweethearts, you just have to buy a bundle or box of something else. To do this, you have to call them and ask what they have, and place the order over the phone; they aren't listed on...

    Butter Beans! Simple and tasty

I've tried a few different kinds now. The grocery store brand (Giant Eagle) is OK, but not as good as Bush brand. The large beans are better than the small ones. Making some more tonight!

    Butter Beans! Simple and tasty

I made a fantastic dish with these tonight: -- Peel and slice up one bulb of garlic -- Heat up some olive oil in a pan and cook up the garlic a little. I wanted it to have some bite still, so I didn't brown it -- Take a can of butter beans, drain them and rinse well. Cook them with the garlic...

    Lighter recommendation?

Here and here. Shipping is free, but takes a couple of weeks. $1.97 for 3+ of the small ones is a great deal. Get 5 or 10 for a little less each and you'll have plenty of spares. They've got a ton of other stuff for cheap, too, have fun browsing!

    La Aurora 100 Anos availability?

It seems to me that Holt's has always had them in their catalogs. What retailers are you referring to? PS - they're a good, powerful, expensive smoke. :ss

Who makes a good dependable lighter ?

These are pretty sweet for $2.50 shipped. This one is also good, but much pricier at $4.64 shipped. :D They've got tons of lighters there, the ones I've bought work great.

    keep cigars in metal tubes?

I keep them stored in my humis or coolers as they came from the manufacturer. If they came in a tube, I leave 'em in a tube. If they came in cello I leave 'em in cello. If they came nekkid, I leave 'em nekkid.

    Cigar smoking age?

I had my first cigar on my 18th birthday, and got a humidor a few months later. I picked up two more humidors over the years, then joined here last year, and now I've got coolers full of smokes!

    Taste of a Cigar

Most of the flavor that I get out of a cigar is actually from the smell. Do you blow the smoke out your nose? (Some refer to this as "snorking") Don't inhale the smoke, but take a puff and breathe some of it out your nose. Start with milder cigars and partial puffs (i.e. blow most of the...
