Padilla limitado 2006 and burn issues...

Yep, I've burned through many a bundle of the Padilla Obsidians. They need to rest for several months (3 at least, 6 is better) at 64-67 percent relative humidity. No more problems!:)

Which Online Retailer Do You Order From?

I frequent a number of online retailers, so I couldn't just choose one in your survey. Most often it's CBid, Cigars Int'l, Famous Smokes or Mikes. But I've also bought quite a bit from Serious Cigars, Atlantic & JR.

Smoked my first Padilla today ... not impressed

I think this is the first cigar Padilla made, & they're discontinued now. It's a lot milder than the other Padilla blends I've had, but it's still a quite enjoyable mid-day smoke. Nutty with a mix of spicy-sweetness.

    CI catalog

Here's another reason. If someone "steals" one, there is a price of the catalog, so it is now a property crime. If it had no value, it wouldn't be a crime to take someone else's catalog. Just a freakin' lawyer's view.

El Rey del Mundo Robusto Larga

Time to revisit an old friend. Too often we forget about smokes like this in pursuing the 'next big thing'. And I'll bet lots of newbies never had some of these old reliables. I had this one for my Sunday breakfast, 8:15 A.M. - A 6-1/2 x 54 ring Robusto Larga, Honduras binder & filler with...

    Music to smoke stogies to.......

My music choices vary as much (or more) than my cigar choices. Could be lounge lizard or rock or blues or jazz or soul or funk or punk (old school) or latin or sea shanties. Or something else.:ss Go with the mood & don't look back.

For Those of Us in Dry Climates

I have a similar problem, living in Arizona. I highly recommend you get the 65% (or 70%) humidity beads. Do a Search on this site & you'll get a wealth of info on these.

Fire pits, chimnea's, outdoor heating options

I have 2 tabletop propane heaters I bought a while back at Home Depot. They're about 3 feet high. I put one on either side of the long table on the back deck & that way everyone gets a little...warmth.
