    Anyone Heard of These Beauties

Plain and simple, they're a boring smoke. It's one dimensional with no complexity. They're best used as give-away sticks to your buddies who don't know anything about cigars and want to raid your humidor. Just my 2c.

Flavor and Strength - is it possible to be mutually exclusive?

Try the 601 Cubao. You'll get a ton of flavor but the strength is about a medium or medium mild. It's tough to separate the two, usually more flavorful cigars comes with strength, but there are also plenty of mild cigars that offer a ton of flavor. I was given a new Zino blend today that...

Gurkha Warlord - My best smoke to date!

I'm glad someone liked it. I had 3 and was left unimpressed (along with many other ones they've had). Good to hear that it didn't unravel on you.

    Maduro Cigar selections?

CAO MX2 is definitely worth a try at least once. 601 Maduro (Blue Label) is great. La Auora Sungrown Maduro is also another one worth trying.

    beads 65 vs 70

Why should SOMEONE ELSE decide what YOU like in YOUR environment? Best gauge is yourself. If you find them to dry, get the humidity. Too wet? Lower it. After some tweaking you'll find your own sweet spot.

    Cubao No. 5

The cigar is very decieving. The cigar is an explosion of flavor in your mouth, and that is what really makes it seem like a strong cigar.

    Butera Royal Vintage

It's a very underrated mild cigar in my book. Good review, and yes, it's a great breakfast cigar.

La Riqueza Belicoso by Pete Johnson

Why didn't you just use the camera on your Macbook? ROFL.

    Ghurka Shaggy

One of the few Ghurka cigars I like. I'm surprised you didn't mention anything about it being creamy, but it's nice to see another enjoy it.

    Cabaiguan Guapos

If you do get one that isn't well constructed, thank the super thin wrapper ;). It's a great stick though, it has a lot of that great flavor the Tats give without being too strong.

    Victor Sinclair Triple Corojo

I haven't found the VS too impressive, but I'm glad someone enjoys them :). As far the cigar going out, it may have just been that particular cigar. I've found that even high premium cigars have this the problem from time to time. Now, if every VS Triple Corojo does that to you, then you got...

Care to narrow down my choices please?

Not a maduro but something that might fit that profile also is the Oliva Serie V.

Which cigars are even more mild than a Macanudo?

Drew Estate Chateau Real Carlos Torano Reserva Selecta

La Flor Dominicana Double Ligero Chisel

The DL line in general is pretty solid. For me, they mellow out a bit after some age, but gets even smoother.

    Which Olivas

The Serie V is too good, definitely their best blend. I personally enjoy the Lancero and Figurado.

    Nording Vs Zino Classic

Wow those are two very different cigars. Personally, I love the Nording much more than the Zino. It's got good strength, body, and a fairly full flavor. The Zino Classic is a much more milder smoke, but to me a bit smoother.

Cigar Cutting 101 - In Pictures - (Maybe 56K Hostile)

Great tutorial and pics.:tu I've found the best way to learn is to practice. When I first started cutting cigars, I always felt like I was cutting too much off, or at an angle. After a few months of doing it, I felt like I improved a lot by not really having to concentrate so much and what...

    Best Carlos Torano cigars?

Virtually every Torano cigar is a decent smoke. I'd say the Virtuoso is my least favorite of the series (actually, their new Reserva Decadencia is), while the Signature Perfecto to be the best.
