Victor Sinclair Triple Corojo

Real Men Cut Lusis in 1/2
Not many people here enjoy VS sticks. I am one of the few who swear by them. I love the Connecticut Yankee, Primero, and Vintage Select. I tried the Triple Corojo today; it was not at all what I was expecting. It layed me out as to the strentgh. I felt "high" for about 30 min. after smoking the first half. Sorry I don't have pics w/ this review. I couldn't keep this stick lit after the 1st third. I finally had to put it out and smoke it later. When I finally re-lit this stick, I couldn't get it to stay lit. It kept going out. Not the best stick I have smoked by far. I love other VS sticks, yet this one was lacking on both flavor and construction. It looked good, yet couldn't stay lit. It was very strong and left me woozy. I would not recommend this smoke, although I still swear by the Connecticut Yankee (even if it has a bad rep here). I did like the strength of the Triple Corojo though.

Thanks for the review Andrew. I'm no expert on why a cigars burn may peter out, but maybe they are holding too much humidity still since arrival to your humi and "just need to lose a little weight". You could try dry boxing a couple (ie, place two of your sticks in an empty cedar cigar box for 7 days, which should remove some moisture). Then, fire that bad boy up to see how it burns this time around. Just a thought...:tu

They've been sitting at 65 humidity for about three months, right beside some other sticks. The others don't hve any burn issues. Thanks for the reply and advice.

I haven't found the VS too impressive, but I'm glad someone enjoys them :).

As far the cigar going out, it may have just been that particular cigar. I've found that even high premium cigars have this the problem from time to time. Now, if every VS Triple Corojo does that to you, then you got yourself a real problem.

I've tried two formats of the triple corojos, the petite corona (4x40) and the robusto. The petite corona, IMHO, is very tasty, burns well, produces lovely clouds of smoke, and stays lit. The robustos (I've now tried 2) both have had burn issues, and come across as a very muddled flavor. If VS made these in a lancero, I would probably get em.

I got a box of these on the devil site for cheap... They have been sitting at 65% for 2 months... 6 out of 10 for me..I agree very strong...Mine burnt perfect..I did notice a little over half way through it got a lot better. For under $2 a stick it was good. I would still prefer the V/S Bohemian Corojo before this one..I'll try another in a couple of months..:2

I like the Victor stuff...Wondering if he has any plans on a triple Maduro, I'm sure that would be great...
