    Annoying PM

Thanks guys for taking care of that so quickly. I guess he started with the A's. I noticed the join date was yesterday and he had no posts. Definately not someone I would trust! I saw that PM last night, but was too tired to report it. I was looking right now, and then found this thread...

    Springfield Hygrometer ($6.47) from Wal-Mart

From CigarsInternational: Dampen the salt with water. Do not put so much in that the salt gets "sloppy". You want a damp pile of salt in the bottle cap. From somewhere else on the web: Place about a teaspoon of salt in the bottle cap and drip just enough distilled water on the salt to get it...

Anyone have this Humidor? (and What do you think of it?)

I think spreading out the beads can only help. I bought a pound of HCM beads from Shilala in 2oz bags. They are spread throughout my humidor. That is a lot more than I need (by about 4x), but I bought extra because it was a better deal, and I could put them in a small cooler when I get to that...

    Springfield Hygrometer ($6.47) from Wal-Mart

I may be wrong, but that looks like too much water for the salt test. The salt should be damp, but not soaked. I can see water puddled on top of the salt. :2

    Catalogs

I get one monthly from Cigars International ever since my order with them. You can probably request one online, though. I also get one from JR. I don't remember requeting one, though, and I haven't ordered from them yet.

Anyone have this Humidor? (and What do you think of it?)

I don't have that one, but I did notice you can get an imperfect for about $20 less. Most people that have gotten the imperfect have been happy with them. Combine that with a 15% coupon U5MPC787K9 (thanks to CohibaMan in another thread), and you can save some dough. I have the 150ct Art...

    Distilled Water

Oops. My mistake. Too early for me. Yes. I do still think that the amount of contaminants is small. Those things are in the air at all times. No way to avoid it. I don't recommend leaving it open. I do agree, though. For less that $1, just buy another jug and be done with it.

    Distilled Water

DI Water shouldn't go bad. Just leave the cap on. By leaving the cap off the bottle, you could introduce contaminants. The amount of contaminants would still be minor, though.

    Shilala Beads

I believe they are 65% beads. Use his instructions if the humidity it too high or low and you need to get them back to 65%.

    Hygrometer Calibration Problem?

I can only suggest an digital hygrometer. I like the HygroSet Adjustable. Got mine from Taboo when they were $14.99 as a Daily Deal along with an order. I have an analog, and and it is all over the place. Raraely accurate. It has an adjustment screw, but still isn't consistent. It is just...
