taboo suggestion

I see a lot of love here for taboo cigars which, frankly, I never heard of prior to coming here. I see the owner posting here so I am assuming he's new trying to break into the market what not.

So those of you who lie taboo. What is your suggestion to try it out.

I prefer big flavor and smoothness. Like a lot of gurkhas. Love nic tobacco. Like corojo. Cameroon. Touch of sweetness. Like maduro but not against natural.

So what should I get?

I haven't tried their limited reserves yet (honestly been too busy lately to do much of anything). But I really, REALLY like the sumatra (mild smoke) and their SOF (more full bodied smoke).

Others seem to really like the twist, but I think the SFO is more my taste (not that I would turn down a twist, just the SFO kind of made an impression on me).

You should grab their sampler (or two) and test it out yourself. I don't think there was a single "bad" cigar in the whole mix.

Which reminds me, I should get my butt in gear and order their LR sampler as well.

I'm with 'ya Shawn; I'd never heard of them either. Some shop in Texas that these guys here love! I've heard a lot of talk around about the twists. I'm thinking I have to try some as well.

I had never heard of them either, but when I signed up on this board, I decided to order a few different sampler packs and a bix of twists (55 cigars in total) because guys were raving about them. I had a few(17) and so far every sample and the twists I've had were very tasty. If you want a full bodied cigar try the SF Boot Camp.

I just put another order in for 90 sticks, mostly torpedo's in the LR in all 3 wrappers.... They have become part of my humidor and the taste better than lots of other brands and are a little cheaper, although my monthly budget for cigars is higher than most.

By the way, Rob and his staff (Dan and Patrick) have great customer service.:tu

Great customer service and great cigars! I've only tried a few, but my favorite is the SFO. Just make sure to mention CS when you call, or check out the Retailer/For Profit forum for their deals!

Just get one of Rob's samplers, then you get a chance to try several different blends and make up your own mind. Also, check the retailer section for this month's coupon. :tu

The samplers are the way to go. You can try all the different smokes Rob has. Great guy with a great line up of smokes.

Nothing but great things to say about Rob and Taboo. Love the Special Forces and Twist. You won't be disappointed. :tu :dr :dr

Was sort of hoping rob would reply with a suggestion. He knows his smokes better than anyone

(don't I sound like a whiney little girl) :p

the HSG and twisted and the SFO are really good i have some SFO and twisted i just got letting them rest in the humi for a week or two and the HSG i could smoke all day long i just order a bundle today

Twist are good for something really mild.
Exotic Blend "OB" Maduro is very good, my fav so far.

I had never heard of them either until I came to this board. After all the raving I heard about the twist I decided to try them. Least to say I love them. I highly recommend them and I am soon going to order some others that I want to try.

Sorry, I was sitting back to see what our friends on here would suggest to you. You can't go wrong with the 10pk Taboo Sampler and the 6pk LR Sampler.
The LR Sampler was a 9pk but we reduced it to a 6pk to make it more affordable for everyone.
I will pm you my cell phone #. Call me anytime if you want to talk about the cigars you like and I can definitely put you on the right blends (after talking to you) if you don't want to go with the samplers.

Have a great weekend and Thank You for considering us.
Thanks to all of you for your suggestions
Rob:ss
