Well, the girlfriend got home today and asked "what the hell is that?" :hn
I told her it's great for keeping her wine chilled.. and well, that did the trick. Little does she know that wine won't be staying in there for too long. :D
I was thinking about buying a nice 150-300 ct. humidor but everyone I talked to just kept saying "if you think you need a 300 ct, get a vinotemp." Found this one on clearance at Target and couldn't pass it up. :chk
I just went to Target to check out their clearance section on video games.. and walked out with a Vinotemp :D
Nice pick up, got mine for the same price. :tu
That was about 3 weeks ago, when I bought a 20 ct. humidor and 10 cigars.. days before I found Club Stogie. (Do you see where this is going?)
Fast forward to today... well, let's just say she's at work and hasn't seen the newest purchase :ss
I filled up my 20 ct. humidor in a week, have 10...
I've done one in a crock pot, but never smoked one. Definitely on the to do list. Also thinking of trying to smoke a turkey for Thanksgiving as someone mentioned earlier. :dr
You HAVE to do some brisket.. it comes out so good. I was able to do it while I was at work, coming home twice to check on it and the WSM held the temp between 220-245 the entire time.
Yep, beer can chicken. Funny you post that site, that's where I've gotten all of my recipe/cooking suggestions from so far. :D I was totally clueless about smoking (especially prepping the food) before I found that place.
What have you smoked so far?
Is there any better way to spend your first Sunday off in 3 months???
Just got the smoker about 6 weeks ago and can't stop using it. Have done a lot of ribs, brisket and chicken.. going to try some pork butt this weekend. :tu
I'd like to hear also. I'm in Texas right now and it's a PITA to try to keep my humidor even under 77ish.. :hn
Think I'm gonna have to go with a vinotemp before all is said and done.. even though I really like the look of a nice humidor out on the desk.
Yep, I bought a Weber Smokey Mountain smoker a couple of months back and have been using it non-stop. Ribs and brisket have come out perfect so far.. need to fire it up again this weekend.
BTW, what's that in the last picture?
