601 in the Morning

Ok, We are having our apartment painted so we are sleeping over at famlies house. I ran out this morning with out eating because I needed to open the door for the painters. I had some coffee on the way. I couldn't eat breakfast at home because everything was covered up. As I was home alone with just the painter in the back rooms I decided to lock my self in to my Home office/Cigar bunker, I opened my Humidor and just took the first cigar I put my hands on out anf lit it up. It was a long 601 with the gold wraper and pig tail head. At first it was very creamy in my mouth and it had a very smooth tasy burn. It realy made me feel good. After I lit it up I went online to see how strong it is, It said Medium to full. I started getting worried about getting hit with a buzz because I didnt eat, but once I started puffing I couldn't stop, it pulled me to get more :). I did put it down after 3/4 of the cigar because I had to leave to work. And since I don't smoke in my hood I just left it at that. Any one else like this stick?????

I think you probably had the Black Label Rabito (6.5 X 46). They are excellent smokes, but more medium bodied than full. If you want to try something with a little more flavor and punch, get the Green label or the Blue label. I havent found a 601 I dislike yet. You cant go wrong with any of their lines.

Yeah I can agree here. I absolutely love all 4 of the 601 lines I've tried. I also agree they're more of a medium and I wouldn't mind smokin them in the morning. If it's a great cigar at 10 pm, it's good at 10 am for me too.

So, the Black label 601 is the least full-bodies of the bunch? I'm just curious because I haven't tried them yet...

I usually don't smoke cigars in the morning. This could just be a noob thing, and subject to change without notice, but I find I prefer the milder cigars, when I do. The fuller-bodied ones seem to whack my tastebuds for the rest of the day. I'm just not "ready" for it, until later in the day. It's probably just me, though.

I was with you, the thought a cigar in the morning just didn't sit right until I tried it... now it is my Sat morn ritual. While I go more for a mild, I have started to move towards a mild-medium stick. great way to start the weekend! :tu
