This is a good smoke. One of the best Maduros I've ever had, and one of the best new cigars (new to me) that I've smoked in a while. WAY better than the JJ Maduro. Pre-light draw tastes like devil's food cake (not kidding, not exaggerating!). Powerful bite in the nose exhale and an amazing finish that just STAYS with you between puffs. Prominent flavors are typical of maddies, cocoa, coffee...but also subtle changes in the flavor like anise and baking spice, and a tartness on the finish that comes in around the halfway point.

I love these, I personally can't decide which one I like better the JJ maddie or the 601, and hell the La Riqueza is right along with them.

Totally agree, my newb palate back in the day didn't let me see the difference in THIS maduro, and the other run of the mill smokes. But now, these are unreal, along with the 601 green and cubao. Def. one of the best maduro, if not the best maduro out there.
 
I pulled the trigger on the Monster Deal for 5 of the Robusto's just the other day. I haven't had a chance to try them yet, but I'm even more glad I picked them up after reading your review.
