So, a few weeks ago I won 575 bucks in a raffle. Just recently got the cash from that. (took em forever to mail it).

either way, as an end of my Jr. year at MU, i am going to allow myself 750 on cigars..


Here is the plan so far...

$70- Cooler
$30- beads for cooler
$116- Pepin Black
$250- Ashton VSG Corona Gorda
$123- Camacho Corojo
$60- 5 vegas gold
$100- Rocky patel Edge


comes out to 764, so I guess im cheating a bit.. but ill allow it:ss

but somehow this list doesn't seem to do the 750 justice. I can't think of anything to replace. any suggestions for replacements?

what would you buy with 750?
 
Personally I would probably add $100 to the cooler money and get a nice 300 count humi or a Vino.
Also, I would throw some Tatuaje and Padron in the mix.
Lastly, buy at least 1 or 2 expensive cigars that you wouldn't normally buy yourself. It is a good opportunity to try different stuff.:2

Those aren't expensive cigars? I'm only half joking, I know there are more expensive cigars out there, but those are also expensive.

oooh, tatuaje.. forgot about them. thats why i posted this!

never been the biggest padron fan.

I've got an okay humidor now. Just looking for something to store a bunch of boxes at once.
 
$250- Ashton VSG Corona Gorda

I would not buy a box of VSGs--they lose taste as they age. Buy two five packs of those and buy a box of 50 petite tatuajes. Those little smokes age magnificently.

Really? thats a bummer. I've smoke tons of VSG's but have pretty much purchased them within a week or two before smoking em due to the price.

they have been one of my favorites for sure, and definitely my favorite in that price range.

I've never heard of the VSG loosing flavor, but I have no first hand knowledge of aging them
 
well, if the aging aspect of the vsg is true, I guess this would be the new lineup.

If i was going to go with the tatuaje's, i would have gone with the conoju 2003, but the boxes of those seemed a bit spendy. also i love the illusiones.

now off to the porch to smoke and contemplate my decision. (even though I should be reading for my last final exam at 3:30 :)..)

Uh-huh. Aren't you posting in the wrong forum for that kind of advice? :D

The line-up looks really good, Economist! A nice range of cigars to try from depending on mood, situation, etc. I personally wouldn't go for the 5 Vegas Golds, but then again I'm not a light cigar smoker and can't really think of an equivilant that could be traded in for it.

The 120qt. Igloo is right around 70 bucks at Wally. You might be able to find a bigger one, that's the biggest our Wally has.

Nice work with the numbers, btw. My patience with numbers is limited, at best.

They must be teaching you something good at MU!!!

Have you tried all of the smokes you listed? Its a pretty wide range from the Gold to the Pepin. I would not buy a box of smokes I had not tried unless they were Cuban.
Check out https://cigarwarehousehouston.com. They are a membership warehouse, but you will save about 1/3rd compared to the costs you list. I am not sure which size of the Camacho Corojo you priced, but the Churchill's run $100 at CW. The Pepin Black Beli runs $97. If you are buying multiple boxes you will easily recoup your $20 membership fee(you also get free smokes when you join)

I dont see an maduros on you list Maybe the Olvia G mad, beli would be a good addition.:2
