A Free Punch Cigar

Stopped in to the local B&M today for an after lunch meeting of sorts and won myself a free Punch Cigar. Apparently Punch is currently conducting a contest celebrating their birthday...all you do is purchase any Punch cigar and then you draw a card (like a birthday card). Inside, the card tells you that you've either won a Punch of your choice, a box of Punch Cigars or the grand daddy of them all, a box of Punch cigars and a humi to keep them in. Not a bad way to celebrate a birthday I must say.

By the way, I chose the Punch Gran Puro Rancho (never had one, thought why not...looks tasty).
 
I won a 'box' at Smokin' Joes. It ended up being the "3 BOLD TASTES FOR THE PRICE OF 2" sampler. Whatever... it was still free.​
 
I went to a punch tasting last week and I was surprised by the Punch line. They were good cigars. I had the one you got and double maduro and enjoyed both. Good job.
 
My B&M says they are doing this the begining of August... right now they have a CAO Promotion going on with Hats and free Cigars. ie: Purchase 5 CAOs get a free hat etc...
 
Not sure what the deal is for some of you, but my B&M is still running the promotion...in fact I'm smoking my second free cigar (I won again), right now. Maybe it's not something all B&M's are doing...sorry.
 
maybe i'll swing by the local b&m after work today...or maybe i'll just light up the punch double corona i've been saving:ss

I actually won one of the big prizes this week in Omaha. I was there on business (from Iowa) and stubled in to a nice cigar store during my lunch break. Bought 4 cigars to take home, one of them was a Punch. When I paid the clerk, he asked if I wanted a chance to win some free cigars. I said "sure" and he handed me a white envelope from Punch and said I should open it as they were having a Punch birthday contest. I'm a skeptical guy who never wins anything for free, and when I opened this and the inside of the Punch birthday card boldly stated I had won 25 cigars and a free humidor, I showed it to the clerk and asked him what was the catch. He said he had been giving them out this month and all the others had said "Sorry, try again" or something like that. He was a nice guy and an employee and said he did not know what to do, now that it appeared I had won. He called the shop owner at my request who confirmed things and told him where to find the prize box for me. sure enough, the guy pulled out a 100-capacity walnut humidor with an unopened box of Punch Magnum's.
I was amazed and told the guy my wife won't believe me that I won this and had not just spent a few hundred bucks on the cigars and humidor.
The contest is legit, I think limited to one winner per store, and I just today have moistened and prepared my new humidor to ready it for the cigars......Amazing luck.......
