Got back earlier this afternoon from an extended weekend in the mountains of New Hampshire where my gal & I attended a wedding. This was the best stogie weekend I’ve had in a while despite the absence of a laptop and my friends at CS.
To give you a little rundown …
THURSDAY
Spent the day chillin’ with a bunch of friends at their summer cottage on a small lake. Smoked a Trinidad Coloniales (courtesy of BamDoc77) as I walked around the lake with Grace. Enjoyed a ’98 HdM du Prince gifted to me by 68TriShield later that afternoon. And capped the evening with ’01 Partagas Lusitania next to a roaring fire.
FRIDAY
While the girls went to the spa, a bunch of us guys hit the links. The front nine had me chomping on an RyJ Churchill while the backside saw me lay waste to a sweet Party #2 (Thanks, Dunng!) and a Boli that was gifted to me by Gargoyle. After the rehearsal dinner, I enjoyed the nice RASS my Malaysian borther, Ritan, recently sent.
SATURDAY
Wedding bells! No good opportunity to fire up a stick until the “after” party rolled around, but once it did, I lit up a Boli Gold Medal. I know this stick came from a CS brother, but in all the revelry, I lost the label and have no idea who gave this stick to me.
SUNDAY
Before going to brunch this morning, I took a little walk around the resort and smoked a Fonseca that DBall laid on me.
My point in posting all this is to point out I had nine delicious cigars this weekend. All but two of them were gifted to me by the great BOTLs on this site. I owe so much to the great brothers and sisters here. I learn from you, and I laugh with you. In a weird sort of way, I feel incomplete on days when I can’t check in with what’s happening on the site. In less than six months, I’ve made so many good friends – guys I know I can call to shoot the bull or ask a question or vent about a problem. The camaraderie here is indescribably amazing, and you all make my life so much more than it would be otherwise. So thanks, CS – I had a rockin’ great weekend in large part because of you! :tu
