Advantage 65%rh

I wish I had temp controlled humi. The humis I were using had a great seal and some beads, but temp is the only thing I'm lacking.

Meh. Cigars these days are getting too spoiled. Are the foam humdifiers their ancestors used good enough? No. Now they have to have beads. Analog hygrometers? No they require digital. If you get them temp control next they will expect swedish massages and before you know it you will pay to store them on a tropical island and pay for private jet service when you want to smoke.

I switched to 65%RH/65 degrees about 9 years ago.

The advantage is fewer draw, burn and flavor problems (aging) when stored at 65% RH (or even lower).

Many draw and burn problems can be attributed to over humidification when they are unfairly blammed on poor construction.

I hope this helps

I found this out via a FOG also. It's great advice.

I recently switched from 70 to 65 RH. Made a big difference. Fewer burn/draw issues and less harsh flavors. No more split wrappers on humid days. Humidity here runs 40-90RH. I'll have to see what happens in the winter when the humidity drops.

haha.
Swedish massages, tropical islands, private jet service... you mean this isn't the norm for the rest of you when you want to kick back and enjoy a stogie?
