After 58 years of smoking cigars, dad almost quits today!

Blueface

Sarah Palin is my lover
A relative called him on Monday and told him he had a box of cigars for my dad in the mail to him.
Told him they were fine cigars.

Dad received the box today and stopped over my home to use the pool and showed them to me.
Gave me a handful generously willing to share.

I warned him.
I said dad, knowing you and your taste, you will not enjoy that cigar.
Dad lit one, took some drags while I was inside on the phone with a warranty issue with a company.
When I got outside to the patio, dad says to me:
Light one of those cigars if you wish to no longer ever smoke a cigar again.:r
Needless to say, it met an early death in my "Stinky".

The box is Acid Cold Infusion Tea.
I dared not try one.
Curious if others agree/disagree with dad.

I'm no veteran here, but I know enough of your dad through reading post's (and a few pic's of him at a rolling event) to wonder....what was that relative thinking? :ss

Good thing it wasn't a kuba kuba...might have done some damage to el viejo.

I've heard the cold infusion tea isn't bad, as acids go. I had an acid roam once a long time ago in San Diego, and it wasn't horrible.

You are making me royally regret not having gotten my camera the minute I saw him open the box and get ready to cut one.
I was so tied up with the warranty issue I was dealing with that I didn't even think of the camera.
It sure would have been a classic shot to capture the look on his face on those first few drags.:r

You have to throw them into a fire. That way you won't have to lie to your relative when you say "We burned them and enjoyed it immensely".:ss

Had one and it actually gave me a migrane. The Khalua aren't that bad, but every other one I've had left me cursing Drew Estates!

I have a buddy that loves these. I can't smoke them without wanting to puke but I like when he lights one up because the smell is nice. (like incense)

I would pay a dollar to see you and pops light up another one.

Hell.. ten dollars....

Well meaning relative, or does said relative have something against dear old Dads tastebuds?

I imagine the relative is most assuredly not familiar with smokes.
The nice thing is... you and your dad can certainly pick out something a mite tastier to get the funk out of your heads and remind each other that you have a certain amount of style... and uh... class... and uh.. refinement...

at least your dad might... ;)

Gave him a Cabaguan Guapito and we each lit one.

Maybe it was an aged Acid, and that's really why your Dad didn't like it, Carlos! ;) :r

i actually love the acid cold infusion tea... guilty...however...i havent had one in a while...its a very good smoke to give to guests who are unaffiliated with cigars

:r Not what I was expecting when you started out saying a relative sent him a box of cigars.

Do I agree with dad? I really don't recall I haven't done acid since the 60's. :D

i am in the minority here the cold tea infusion is the only drew estate cigar i like. well that bring said . the only flavored cigar i like:ss
