Aged 44 years?!? That HAS to be a ploy

Blake,

Thanks for the plug :ss

Wen I did that video I was trying not to sound too optimistic about the pre-embargo tobacco. Its interesting to see that someone spoke with a rep and got more information than "some old tobacco from the DWG Cigar Company".

The MSRP is in the neighborhood of $14.00. I think the cigar is a good smoke, and paired with a numbered coffin the price isnt all that bad, but in any case its still out of my normal price range. Like I said in the video, Special Occasion smoke only, or something to add to the collection. :2

Hey, no prob! I love stogiereview.com!!:ss :tu

Yeah buddy. I got myself a couple of these smokes. As usual I bought three sticks to try them out, 1 for myself, 1 to try again if I didn't like the first and 1 if liked them to smoke or to give away. Either way, they were decent, I would'nt say great but not too bad. I also don't believe that there was 44 year old tobacco inside but who am I to say.:cb

The Liberty's are pretty good smokes. As for the pre embargo Cuban tobacco...I saw the bales at Christians when I was down there several years ago. (Heck I saw more Cuban pre-embargo tobacco in San Antonio at the Finck's) The point is this ain't wrapper....at this age it is barely filler and you would never be able to taste it. Sure it is a gimmick...but Christian makes good cigars.

I picked some of the Liberty 2006's up recently from niceashcigars.com for $10 a pop. Last time I looked they still showed singles on their site.

All of the cigars that I've seen advertise "pre-embargo tobacco" have all been a small amount of cuban, and a majority something else.

I've got one of these, from 2005. I'm looking forward to trying it, if I can every get my self to. Honestly, I don't care if it's actually 44 year old tobacco, I hear it's an excellent smoke. I'll have to check out Walts review now. Thanks for the heads up.

If it's cuban or not just doesn't matter, all that matters is if I liked the cigar. Thats what I tell people who ask me whats a good cigar. A good cigar is a cigar that I like.

They are tasty suckers. And as for the preembargo I knoly kow of one cigar totally made of pre embargo cuban tobacco. I think it is in the Finck catalogue.

I just like collecting the Liberty line. I've never even smoked
one. My B&M just got a box of 05's in, did they start the line
in 2004?
